02.01.2022 PAINTING CLOUDS & SKIES with XANGA CONNELLY Saturday 24 October In this inspiring creative workshop you will learn the basic elements of painting a sky. We will do some en plein air painting (outdoors!) and/or work in the studio to capture moments in time as the clouds drift past.... #xangaconnelley will use different techniques to capture a feeling of movement and the lightness of a cloudy day. Whether a clear day with a cerulean blue sky and white fluffy clouds, to a stormy day with dark dramatic clouds the possibilities are endless. Explore the basic elements of painting a sky and draw from the techniques of different artists. Apply these to a en plein air and studio settings - weather dependent. We will investigate colour, texture, atmosphere and light. Students of all levels are welcome. Participants will take home at least one finished canvas, and some reference work.
