25.01.2022 Ashtons Gift very own mermaid.. Young Rachel Presser whom trains with the Gold Coast Mermaids Synchronised Swimming Club aspires to representing her country at the Olympics. Rachel travels the country competing in competitions and trains up to five days a week in order to chase her dreams. Rachel has one last competition before the holidays on Sunday 1st December at Chandler Aquatic Center in Brisbane. We here at Ashtons Gift wish you all the best Rachel and hope all your hard work and determination pays off.

23.01.2022 As most of you are aware Ashton was from Ravenshoe and yesterday this small community was devastated by a horrific cafe explosion. Every member of this town has been affected, devastated and impacted in some way by this tragic event. We wanted to confirm that the Ashtons Gift Team is working together to find ways of assisting those families with the aftermath and their recovery. We will be doing everything we can to help and will keep you updated on our progress. Asht...ons whole family is directly in contact with the families affected and his big sister Rylee will be online responding to all further enquiries. * If you live in the Townsville/Brisbane areas and have a bed to spare for families needing to support their loved ones...please contact us and we will see what we can do from this end.

23.01.2022 Shannon Update!!! You may all remember Shannon and Tas- our two 2013 Bursary Recipients. We cant help but continue to follow these two inspiring young stars. A huge congratulations to Shannon for placing 3rd in Australia for 11yr Girls BMX today. Thats a massive achievement and we all very proud of you!!!

21.01.2022 Josh Manning, turning 16 a couple of months ago, competed in the 16-19 age group Olympic Distance at the Kingscliff Tri on the weekend, and we are so stoked to announce a Podium finish for Josh with a time of 2.13.53 Josh finished 3rd!!

19.01.2022 Ashtons Gift continues to support young Josh Manning as he continually shows the rest of us that your life may not be as easy as others but you can achieve anything you put your mind to. Josh recently competed in the 50km Nerang State Forest - the youngest competitor by many years and in the heat and very hilly conditions did 6 hours 16 mins. An awesome effort!!!! Next for Josh is the Gold Coast Half Marathon in July, following this, amongst other adventures, Josh will be fulfilling a dream of competing in the Honolulu Marathon in December. Ashtons Gift is very proud to be associated with Josh and his family.

19.01.2022 The flow on effect of Ashtons Gift and all it stands for, continues to inspire people everywhere, none more so then Tania Pearson. Tania had known Ashton since he first started visiting the Tweed area on school holidays, in her own small way Tania decided she would like to make a difference to a part of the community very close to her heart, via the Ashtons Gift organisation. Tania recently completed her fundraising target of $2,000 and has donated 100% of monies raised via A...shtons Gift to You have a Friend a local community charity for the homeless and underprivileged. The $2,000 donated will be used for Christmas Hampers and to purchase food etc. for the volunteer run Christmas Party, held in December across local parks for the homeless. Tania spent the past twelve months raising funds while competing in running races around the country, and was very humbled by the support she received. The emotion was clear to see when Tania presented John Lee from You have a Friend and presented a Cheque on behalf of Ashtons Gift.

17.01.2022 Ashtons Gift One Thousand Changing lives day by day.. 1000km for $1000 - The Challenge is for you to participate in sanctioned Events from 1st November 2013 to 31st October 2014 and along the way raise $1000.00 or more for your chosen Charity. Ashtons Gift One Thousand (AG 1000) can be participated as an Individual or a Team of 2 to 200 .. The Target would be 1000kms of participating in sanctioned events as a solo or a team and achieving the feat of making the 1000 ...km mark whilst raising a minimum of $1,000. All you have to do is: Grab your friends to make a team or go solo; Select a sanctioned event within the time frame above, (or many) to participate in; Select your Charity; Complete a Fundraising Authority and return to the team at Ashtons Gift; Start training; and get Sponsorship from your friends and family. All monies raised will be donated to your chosen Charity on behalf of Ashtons Gift in November 2014. So who is up for the challenge? Send a private message through the Ashtons Gift Facebook page to receive a Fundraising Authority. A Donate Page through Everyday Hero or Donate Planet will be finalised shortly to ensure attaining sponsorship and donations are easy. All your team participants kilometres add to the overall total of km. EXAMPLES 1.Mary and Bob will be participating in AG 1000 as Team Hump Day and between them will challenge themselves in numerous Events during the time frame that will total over One Thousand Kilometres!! 2.Mr SOLO Participates in 7 events through the year totalling 1,000kms between but not retricted to, cycling, running, swimming, walking, Triathlon, MTB he has 50 sponsors at $20 each BANG there is his target in both kms and $$ raised. 3.Team Woohoo 20 people All participate in the same 3 events through the year at 17kms each they total 1020kms combined and each person has 5 sponsors at just $10 each and BANG there is both the target in kms and $$ raised. 4.Team Can DO 5 people participating in different challenges with each km combined to reach total of 1000kms or more. Shopping at Tweed City Yesterday I was beside myself that a gentlemen offered to assist my physically challenged Aunty Kez down the ramp with her fully stocked shopping trolley. In the past Kez would wait at the top of the ramp for me to walk my trolley down then I would walk back to meet her and repeat the process. Thank you Stranger.....

12.01.2022 Ashtons Gift has many facets to its culture and its ability to touch lives yet again we have been humbled by people in this world reaching out to touch those that need it most, via Ashtons Gift. A friend of Ashtons Gift has donated 2 amazing tickets to the Taylor Swift Concert in Brisbane It is a Random Act of Kindness we encourage everyday, and this is a class act. The team at Ashtons Gift was straight in contact to the Make a Wish Foundation and they have very graciou...sly accepted and have found a suitable recipient for us The young recipient, in need of some great memories to share, will be attending the Taylor Swift concert via Ashtons Gift and this RAK donation. We will keep all in the loop as to how their night went. I take this opportunity to thank everyone for your continued support, we are changing lives in memory of Ashton and it is a vehicle I am sure he and his family are proud of, a vehicle to assist people via the gift make a difference. 06.01.2022 Ashtons Gift recently assisted Rachel Presser follow her dreams with a small grant to cover tuition fees. It seems all the hard work is paying off for Rachel as you can see from recent results. Rachels results from the Australian synchronised swimming Championships are as follow; 1st Free team combination 2nd 13-15 duet 1st 13-15 Solo 2nd 13-15 Figures. These superb results ensued Rachel being invited to compete in the Oceania Championships in New Zealand last week, where Rachel placed first Gold medal in Duets and Bronze for her solo. She travelled over with her coach and team mates. I have attached some gorgeous photos to show off our little mermaid.

03.01.2022 What did you do last weekend.................. This is a picture of Joshie finishing the Tre-X Back to Back race on the Sunshine Coast. Josh competed in the long course race which was a 500m swim, 15k mountain bike and 6 k beach run on both Saturday and Sunday. He was first in the 15 - 19 Category and had a blast!

02.01.2022 You may remember we introduced you to Tania Pearson a few months ago. Tania set herself a challenge to go above and beyond her running abilities and participate in five events this year and while doing so complete 72km and receive sponsorship from friends and family. Tania to date has completed:... 17km Nerang State Forest Trail Race 10km Bulletin Fun Run on the Gold Coast 21km at Gold Coast Half Marathon 14km City to Surf in Sydney ONLY the 10km Stampede at Woodford is left to complete. When Tania runs (maybe crawls) over the finish line on Sunday 15th, she would have raised over $1000.00 for Ashtons Gift Charity and challenged herself to complete 72km over five events. The money raised will go towards local kids in your community. Very proud to have Tania on our team!
