16.01.2022 Great news just in: a #TelstraKids grant is coming our way for our Ashwood High School STEM Robotics Program. The school has grown rapidly in recent years, with significant numbers of local students and their families flocking back to Ashwood; to take advantage of the school’s new buildings, grounds, and academic programs. The school has been transformed into a magnificent educational facility with great opportunity for its diverse student community. Staff of the school have ...passionately established new academic, hands-on, skills- based programs, including a new computing program using Robotics; to prepare students for embarking on their future academic and personal aspirations confidently. The rapid growth of the school is exciting but brings with it its own challenges, specifically how to resource new programs without creating extra financial obstacles for families. The Telstra Grant will be used to purchase new equipment and resources for the new Robotics program; assisting students, both male and female, from Year 7-12, to have access to this fun and innovative program. 16.01.2022 Tomorrow we will welcome our biggest intake of new Year 7 students in decades, as well as all of our wonderful students from other year levels. Things haven't been quiet at Ashwood High School over the break - our staff have been busy honing their craft, with professional development sessions centred on teaching excellence occurring over the past week. We have also welcomed 9 new staff members into the Ashwood family! Ashwood High School really is the 'Jewel of the East'! We hope everyone is looking forward to coming tomorrow - we are looking forward to seeing each and every one of you!

14.01.2022 What a great shot of our Year 7 ACE students outside the Melbourne Aquarium this morning. We can’t wait to hear what they have learned about Aquatic Conservation.

10.01.2022 Our Year 7s have settled in beautifully and are now part of our proud Ashwood family. These pictures are from their first day, where they were busy learning how to get to classes, use Compass and (the trickiest of them all) how to lock and unlock their combination locks!

08.01.2022 Our Performing Arts Festival last night was a sell-out! Combining the talents of students from across the school and within each House, the students planned, designed, created, rehearsed and performed with passion, energy and enthusiasm. It was fantastic to see so many students involved on the night: on stage, supporting the cast as the technical and backstage crew as well as helping with make-up and costumes. But that’s not all, students were also involved behind the scenes: creating the multi-media elements, designing and building sets, putting together the program page, writing the script and planning rehearsals. Without a commitment to high expectations and teamwork the night wouldn't have been the success it was, Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way.
