20.01.2022 My striking PRESTIGE VDL X TOTILAS colt Prestigious T 2yrs old is growing up beautifully . He has a wonderful soft character and will be fully licensed when he is of age. This is the best male I’ve bred so far. If all goes well he will be our next stallion here. I’m really proud of him and can’t wait to ride him next year . Onwards and upwards ... Thanks Amalie for the beautiful photos of my boys .

19.01.2022 Last comp of the year for me and Ashwood Park Prescott and I thought it may be best to take Ferrero Chocolate Box out for a spin as well seeing he hasn’t been out for 10 months because of covid. Prescott continues to really impress me with 2nd in the first advanced with 70.06% . He has recently stepped up to PSG level and because he is so athletic finds this again very easy, he won by 2% with 70.9% . he was rewarded with many 8’s and a few 9’s as well through the test pa...per which is great to see. He’s a quirky guy with a major spook in the 3 times changes over some manure in the arena . Horses, they keep you humble and always expect the unexpected with them. Big Choc did a great job in the inter 11 for a win with 69.9% . I Must admit I was super rusty riding through the GP yesterday, last time I rode the GP was at Willinga Park at the beginning of the year. I spelled Choc for months with covid as I didn’t see the point in wearing out a GP horse with strenuous training , it’s really hard on them this level and you have to be careful. One injury and it will haunt you for the rest of the horses career. I’m please to say although he’s not super fit and I didn’t do the best job resulting in 2 mistakes that are super costly he was 2nd with 68% . The winner did a clean test for 68.9%. Very close! Jess Skinner our young rider has recently stepped up to Advanced on her pony Burrowa Bashar. She did the most amazing job in the 5b it was so good to see all the hours of hard work she puts in come to fruition for her in the test yesterday, she rode like she does at home . At 13 years old we are all super impressed with her . And a good score of near 66% as well . Another 2 wins for her yesterday I’d like to thank the judges yesterday for their excellent feedback and talks, thanks APDC for running another 2 day event for the riders. Thanks to my wonderful Ashwood Park Staff family, the ground we have covered in the last fortnight is exhausting and I couldn’t have done it without you, and of course my amazing partner Brian . I’m so looking forward to next year with our huge competition team of Ashwood Park home bred horses who are at various levels of training from the very beginning to our 3 CDI horses at FEI and GP level. 18.01.2022 A little bit of footage of our super rising 4 year old Colt Ashwood Prelude 1 He is by Prestige VDL out of a Jazz dam Noble Bend Chirazz. He is super beautiful , motivated , and shows outstanding rideability and character for such a young stallion . He is now 16.2 hh and we expect him to be around the 17 hh mark when he matures . This weekend we see him out for he’s first ever competition with the lady who rides him every day Maceala Harris . I get to ride him when Mac... has a day off otherwise she is he’s rider for now as my hands are full . Hasn’t she done a great job with him ! ( here I am steeling him for the day )
15.01.2022 Today we took on the breaker Olympics taking out 3 x 3.5 year olds and a 5 year old that have all tackled there first ever time off the property and first ever time competing. They all actually handled themselves really well. Ashwood Pandora’s Box ridden by Maceala Harris did an outstanding job, this is Mac’s first ever comp as well . This little powerhouse absorbed the atmosphere well and we would expect that coming from the superb family of Kid on a Bike. ... Ashwood S Pachelbel ridden by Abbey Flinn did an amazing job as well. Little Pash and Abbs have only been together for 6-8 weeks and have partnered well. She received super scores for there first ever comp. we won’t hold her refusing to go back on the truck home against her for now HF Santorini was clearly the biggest horse on the grounds standing at well over 17 hh at 3.5 years old . He is so big and so gangly he didn’t handle the grass surface as well as the others but Catherine did such a great job at giving this youngster he’s first ever experienced and confidence whilst out. He has such a great charter this one. Last out was Ashwood Prelude 1 our young stallion. He was very overwhelmed by being out for the first time and being a Colt you’d expect that. He was beautifully ridden again by Maceala. she had to be assertive on him which gave him much confidence I’m so proud that our team conquered loading up all these young horses and had them ready to compete today which is no easy task . Today was all about experience , you’ve got to start somewhere with them . Win place or come last it doesn’t matter as the end game is GP and today was about a start with them . Onwards we go with our Awesome foursome baby horses

07.01.2022 Here is one of my breakers 3.5 year old Ashwood Park Palladyn . Palladyn is the full brother to powerhouse Ashwood Park Prescott who is just 7 and had an FEI start 6 weeks ago. Like he’s brother he is super strong through the back to really carry himself in an uphill manner. An interesting horse for the future .
07.01.2022 Today’s video of my 3.5 year old baby girl Ashwood Park Pachelbel. Pash is out of my super mare that I compete medium / advanced with Derreen Lacriox, and of course by Super sire Prestige VDL. This filly is all class, super conformation long legs with the most amazing of temperaments and trainability. Pash has started shoulder in and leg yield already, and is so reliable and extremely quiet. She looks just like her daddy with a blaze and 3 big stockings. Interesting genetics, proven performance dam and sire line and a beautiful soft ride .
05.01.2022 Thought you may all like to see how we taught Prestige to collect without a dummy. To avoid any injury from him jumping up on a dummy where he had a very bad slip 5 years ago he was taught to ground collect The process quick , efficient and safe for all involved. 04.01.2022 Some canter of Ashwood Park Palladyn. Our delightful 3.5 year old breaker. Cruising around always uphill with a strong canter like he’s sire Prestige VDL. And like he’s father flying changes at such a young age come naturally to him . Exciting future with this one
