25.01.2022 As the end-of-financial-year approaches we want to extend our deep thanks to our donors for their unwavering support, without you we would never have been able to pivot to emergency food relief for the children and their families so quickly. All of your donations to us are tax deductible so if you need to make a donation we are here to take your call on 612 65864250 or online https://www.asianaid.org.au/ Thank you so much.

25.01.2022 If you missed us at Wahroonga Church on Sabbath, you may want to have a look at Tammy presenting the childrens story with help from her son. It is a cuteness alert for sure particularly when it comes to the donkey....motorbike...lego. Please enjoy.

22.01.2022 Whilst the Covid-19 pandemic has created so many challenges, especially in the developing world. It is also allowing us to provide some improvements to our schools in India, Nepal and Bangladesh. Our aim is to improve the overall educational experience for children when it is safe for them to return post-Covid. One such renovation is at the Maisie Fook School https://www.asianaid.org.au/maisie-fook-memorial-school-re/

21.01.2022 Helping provide relief through our Family Food Fund in Nepal https://www.asianaid.org.au/nepal-covid-19-update/

21.01.2022 We asked our Indian team member Pudens who has recently returned from maternity leave what has it been like having a baby in lockdown. In a time that is suppose to be settling in and spending time with family and friends celebrating new birth, a pandemic was announced. This is Pudens’ story.. (a special thank-you to Pudens, her husband and of course the star of the video, their new daughter, Ziya)

21.01.2022 The team at Asian Aid worked really hard in producing content for the Wahroonga service last week. This is Jacinta, she is the newest member of our team also revealed she had a beautiful voice. Unfortunately due to a technical problem it was unable to be played but we hope you will enjoy the video.

20.01.2022 During these challenging times, it is easy to get overwhelmed with all the negative news. Today we would love to share some good news about women that your have empowered through your support of of programs in India are giving back to their community during lockdown. This is their story https://www.asianaid.org.au/women-giving-back-during-lockd/

20.01.2022 For the past month during lockdown we have been providing food relief to our school families and our project communities in India, Bangladesh and Nepal. This has been no easy task for our Partners to undertake. Being able to ensure regular supply of food and food security has been on top of the priority list as too taking into account government restrictions and social distancing. For $40 we can provide enough food for a family of four for a month so while we know it is a difficult time for everyone, we appreciate anything you can do to help https://www.asianaid.org.au/programs/program/?program=P274

18.01.2022 While our primary focus is still providing food security for children and their families during lockdowns in India, Bangladesh and Nepal, we are also looking towards how we can improve conditions for children to learn and grow when restrictions are lifted. Our aim is simple and when it is safe to do so, can the children return to a better environment than they had before Covid? https://www.asianaid.org.au/ongoing-improvements-during-co/

18.01.2022 What an awesome photo! Because of your support, we have been distributing relief through-out India, Bangladesh and Nepal with the Family Food Fund. This photo is of one of the children from our village schools receiving food relief in Bangladesh. #FamilyFoodFund #sponsorachild #foodrelief

18.01.2022 Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day. It is an awareness day focusing on digital access and inclusion for the more than one billion people with disabilities and impairments. This year, as we are globally focussed on online learning, it highlights the continued importance of this in the developing world. Here is a video of a church service at our Hearing and Speech Impaired school and how they use music to worship in thier own special way.

17.01.2022 God is looking for those with whom He can do the impossible - what a pity that we plan only the things that we can do by ourselves. - AW Tozer We love seeing the excited faces of people finding hope. Thank you for helping us make a difference thats bigger than ourselves. #GivingTuesday #AdventistHope #BeABlessing

15.01.2022 The Seventh-day Adventist World Church devotes the last Sabbath in May to pray especially for children at risk. Many children around the world live under the threat of violence or neglect in their own homes or schools. Join that special day of prayer and encourage your congregation to look for ways of assisting the children at risk in your community.

14.01.2022 Here is one of our Bangladeshi families coming to collect their food relief packages. Thank you for helping us make this possible. For if the intention and desire are there, the size of the gift doesnt matter. Your gift is fully acceptable to God according to what you have, not what you dont have. - 2 Corinthians 8:12 TPT #ThankfulThursday #AdventistHope #GivingStory #BeABlessing #BibleInspiration

14.01.2022 COVID-19 is challenging for everyone but in the developing world, and the countries that we work in, social distancing is a luxury. Over 75% of people in the least developed countries lack access to clean soap and water the primary means of infection prevention the odds are not on their side. Without our help, COVID-19 could push over 70 million people into extreme poverty. That is why we are joining the #EndCOVIDForAll movement and supporting their efforts to push for mo...re aid in these countries that need our help. 13.01.2022 Today we are celebrating National Non-Profit Day! Non-profits play a special role in any community where they often bridge the gap between those most vulnerable and the government and provide support where none is offered. They have been a huge part of providing support and relief to communities facing Covid-19. We know that none of this could happen without your ongoing support. We are also incredibly grateful to our partners on the ground in India, Nepal and Bangladesh who continue to make change in their communities every day. Our team here at Asian Aid thanks you all for the part you play in helping us change the lives of children and whole communities across our partnering countries. #NationalNonProfitDay

13.01.2022 Last week we delivered food relief to the children and their families from the Maisie Fook school. We have been doing some extensive renovations at the school this year including the rebuilding of the wall surrounding the school as well as painting and electrical work. We have also replaced the equipment in the playground. While their parents went to pick up their monthly food packages, the children couldn't resist trying out the play equipment for the first time. Look at the pure joy and delight on their faces, a respite from the challenges surrounding them during the pandemic. We hope you will find joy in this photo as much as we did receiving it.

12.01.2022 India has been hit hard by Covid-19 and, in our recent newsletter, we wanted to share with you how our food relief has been impacting communities there. https://www.asianaid.org.au/food-relief-update-india/ #WeHelpWednesday #AdventistHope #BeABlessing

We called this campaign #BanishedForBleeding this is her story and video https://www.asianaid.org.au/ending-menstrual-isolation/
