22.01.2022 Announcing Claire Campbell (Mahon)! Claire is a Graduate of the Australian Ballet School and danced an array of Soloist and Principal roles professionally with Scottish Ballet (under the Direction of Galina Samsova) for over 10 years. Claires former students have continued their training in esteemed schools such as the Australian Ballet School, Royal Ballet School and English National Ballet School. Many students have gone on to dance with companies throughout the world, s...uch as the Australian Ballet, Queensland Ballet, ABT, Munich Ballet (Junior Company) and Manila Ballet. Claire has also prepared and coached students into the prestigious Prix de Lausanne and consequent placement in distinguished Dance Institutions such as the Royal Ballet School, Dutch National Academy and John Cranko School. 09.01.2022 The Asian Pacific Ballet Forum (APBF) in partnership with The National Theatre Ballet School and The Australian National Memorial Theatre aspires to be a platform for enthusiastic and passionate dancers, from ages 8 and above of all nationalities and social backgrounds to explore their potential in dance and to inspire their professional and personal growth by connecting with like-minded people. The APBF facilitates sharing and exchanging between dance students, teachers and ...schools from all over the Asian Pacific region and further afield. The APBF hopes to enrich the Melbourne art scene and provide talented young dancers with cross-cultural networking opportunities for further development. The APBF aims to create a space where dancers, as young as the age of nine, can boldly pursue their passion and interest in ballet and receive recognition for their dedication and effort towards cultivating this art form. By providing an environment where dancers can thrive and grow, The APBF hopes to nurture a future generation of dancers capable of bringing the ballet art form to greater heights.

07.01.2022 ANNOUNCING Our first Adjudicator Ms. Marilyn Jones OBE Marilyn Jones established an enviable international reputation early in her distinguished career during which she danced with outstanding ballet luminaries such as Rudolph Nureyev, Garth Welch, John Gilpin, John Meehan and Sir Robert Helpmann. She is acclaimed for her interpretation of the great classics: Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet and Giselle, attaining the rank of Ballerina with the Borovansky... Ballet and the Grand Ballet de Marquis de Cuevas. She was Prima Ballerina of The Australian Ballet from 1962-1971, later becoming the Artistic Director until 1982 and since made regular guest appearances with them as well as the Sydney Dance Company and the Queensland Ballet. In 1972 she was named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for her services to Ballet.
