25.01.2022 IT'S BEGUN ALREADY The lavender season is here and may last until January! We suggest you take time to enjoy a set of tea and some biscuits while looking out to a purple field blooming. What a peaceful day to experience! Some of the recommended lavender farms you can visit are at Hahndorf (SA) or the Blue Mountains in Little Hartley (NSW). While you're there, make sure to stock up on the beautiful lavender products made on the farm, maybe as a Christmas gift, or book a stay a...t the campground to soak up the lavender magic. We bet you are having amazing plans for the coming festive season but don't forget to stay safe! Photos by @ameliakatephotography @life.as.amandine

16.01.2022 Palm Cove - An island named after the palm trees that line the beach is such the cutest island. From far away, its Scout's Hat shape seems to indicate the interesting stuff to do there. When you reach the island, you will totally love its fresh atmosphere. Take a deep breath and walk around on your barefoot. You can also choose to travel around by bike instead of by car. Visit the local market to get some fresh seafood for a sunset barbecue on the beach later. ... If you are an adventure lover, let's hire a kayak and paddle right off the beach or take a tour to explore nearby Double Island. Fishing is another suggestion. A tip for you is that the The Palm Cove jetty is a great fishing spot. You can catch plenty of Spanish mackerel, cod, whiting, stripeys and flathead there. Share with us your favourite photos on a visit to Palm Cove and don't forget that we are happy to assist on travelling services if you need anything Photo by @flore.vostfr

14.01.2022 WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT BRUNY ISLAND? The glamorous quarantine station in Tasmania This small island off the southeast coast of Tasmania has played an important role in Australian history its isolation makes it the perfect site for quarantine.... Since 1884, passengers arriving in Tasmania need not be sick enough to enter the community. Instead of being on board quarantine, they underwent quarantine and shore health checks at the Bruny Island Quarantine Station, which is still on the island today. Nowadays, Bruny Island is still a beautiful place under the native forest canopy and surrounded by waters full of fish and shrimp. After a while opening the Bruny island for tourism, the response from visitors was very positive. A self-discovery walking tour has been designed so that visitors can explore at their own pace. Apart from the singing of birds and the sound of wind rustling through the eucalyptus trees, the only sound you can hear while walking around the Quarantine Station is the rustling of footsteps on the paved road. From the mainland of Tasmania, it takes only 20 minutes of ferry riding to reach the island covered by eucalyptus forest and your adventure may begin. Enjoy the spectacular views from The Neck Visit the Get Shucked Oyster Bar Experience some amazing taste at Bruny Island Cheese Company Bruny Island is such an ideal travel destination during Covid-19 pandemic, don't you think? 13.01.2022 AUSTRALIA'S ICONIC MONOLITH MAKES TOP 10 OF THE LONELY PLANET'S ULTIMATE TRAVEL LIST 2020 has been bad news for getting out and seeing the world, but it surely has provided us with plenty of opportunities to compile travel bucket lists and even visit a few destinations in our own backyard Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park has been named in the top three must-see places in the world, with the publication saying it was the ultimate travel destination because of the connection tou...rists can gain between Indigenous culture and the land, as well as the sustainable practices undertaken at the destination. Uluru, which came in at the 33rd ‘must visit’ place in the world in 2019, jumped 30 places for the 2020 list. Northern Territory’s Minister for Tourism Natasha Fyles said there’s no secret in Uluru being one of the best places to visit in the world. Territorians are acutely aware Uluru is one of the best places in the world and now it is official, according to Lonely Planet’s Ultimate Travel List, she said. This is well deserved and fantastic recognition for the Northern Territory, recognizing the Traditional Owners, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park Board of Management and tourism operators who work tirelessly to share stories and their culture with visitors. Mr Zeiher said it was an exciting time for Australians to see their own backyard, especially a visit to Uluru. It’s hands-down one of my favourite places to visit anywhere in the world and we’re lucky enough to have it in our own backyard, he said. For me, it’s the depth of experiences and connections that the Park offers that makes it such a valuable and unforgettable travel experience. Whether it’s watching in quiet awe as the colours of Uluru change during sunset or embarking on the incredibly rewarding Valley of the Winds walk in Kata Tjuta this is one of those very special places that will profoundly touch any individual lucky enough to visit. 12.01.2022 IT'S OUR LUCK TO BE HERE IN AUSTRALIA It takes an hour of flight from Darwin to visit The Northern Territory's Arnhem Land Or only 2 hours from Cairns And you can easily come and visit this beautiful scenery with rugged coastlines, white sand and shimmering emerald waters, remote islands, mighty rivers, startling green rainforest, towering escarpments and savannah woodland.... The Northern Territory's Arnhem Land is larger than many European countries and inhabited by just 16,000 people. Because of its remoteness, the indigenous communities here have remained relatively undisturbed and unaltered by outside influences. The result is a strong Indigenous culture and still-vigorous traditions. The region is especially noted for originating the didgeridoo and X-ray art, which depicts animals with their bones and internal organs. Source: @travellerau

08.01.2022 Have you heard Covid normal may be achieved by Christmas and international travel will soon be kickstarted? Time flies pretty fast since the Covid-19 virus came and affected our daily lives. It is November already and fortunately, we can start having some good news on potential liftings of travel restrictions. At the annual meeting of airlines, Mr Joyce and chairman Richard Goyder expressed the hope of launching new routes in Asia and the Pacific, one of which includes Taiw...an and South Korea. Some other countries such as New Zealand, Japan and parts of North Asia including Singapore and China are likely to form travel bubbles with Australia. The governments are discussing cautiously on this and New Zealand’s case seems to be a good sign as New Zealanders now can officially travel into Australia without quarantine arrangements. Today, state and territory leaders at the National Cabinet will be discussing a plan to kickstart international travel. It is expected to be about the reopening of border and vaccine rollout plan. Matters such as how many people needed to be vaccinated for international travel to resume, what alternative arrangements could be for visitors from low-risk countries and if the nation’s internal borders could be opened by Christmas may be discussed. Everyone seems to be excited about the premier’s announcements. Mr. Morrison said positively that Australia is making good progress as it was fast-tracking the approval of two of Australia’s four coronavirus vaccine supplies. Once examined safe, it will be distributed across the country, firstly in the hospitals and respiratory clinics and then as general practices being used as part of the immunisation plan. Besides, bushfire royal commission report released last month will be brought up for discussion. Wondering where to go as soon as international borders are open again? 01.01.2022 EXPLORING THE TOP OF NEW ZEALAND SHOULD BE IN YOUR 2021 BUCKET LIST On the Northernmost tip of the Aupouri Peninsula, you’ll find a remote spot where two oceans meet and Maori spirits return to their ancestral homeland. A two hour and 40 minute drive from the Bay of Islands, Cape Reinga is truly the ultimate far-north New Zealand experience In the Maori Language, the name of this location means Leaping Off Place of Spirits. The Maori believe that the Cape is where the spiri...ts of the dead leap from the world of the living into the underworld. They turn back for one final glance at Three Kings Island, before continuing on their journey. The peak season in Cape Reinga is January and February, which is the New Zealand summertime. The weather will be warm, the breeze from the ocean will be refreshing, the sun will be shining and it’s a great time of year for hiking, watersports and exploring. However, you may want to also consider visiting between May and July, as the weather will still be warm. Spring is also a great time to visit, as the flowers will be in bloom and the new-born lambs will be frolicking in the fields. Let's plan your 2021 first trip! There’s really no bad time to visit this destination as it’s quite sunny and pleasant all throughout the year! Photos by @antoinebphotos, @intohimoni, @intohimoni, @daniel.unterwegs
