16.01.2022 Well unfortunately Rona got the upper hand - as of midnight tonight all of Victoria will be in a 5-day Stage 4 lockdown. So sadly no cricket will be played out ...this weekend across all grades. The NWMCA will make an announcement in the coming days regarding rescheduling and how the last stages of the season will pan out. We will provide all the information as it comes to hand. In the meantime, to our ASJCC community - please stay safe. Do the right thing and keep up the Covid safe protocols. Plus, use your daily exercise allowances and find any opportunity to get a bit of practice in. It all counts.

08.01.2022 The ASJCC Ladies took the field on the weekend in an historical moment for our great club! The victory eluded us (by quite a bit), but the results did fall our way as a club & as a team. We fielded a full team of 8. We had 4 debutants who had never represented the Two Blues before, including 10yo Yashvi and Olivia, Karuna & Maria, who had never played cricket at all.... All 4 of these players made their first runs for ASJCC. Some other highlights from the match: Sabs showed her hard work at training has paid off, taking the 1st wicket for the season, clean bowled and followed up with the bat smashing 4 boundaries on the way to her highest score of 25. Skipper, Neel led from the front, bowling her 4 over allotment without conceding an extra and taking 2 wickets on the way. Liv (54) batted at 3 on debut and showed maturity with the bat & consistency with ball way beyond her experience. Maddy showed courage and grit, coming back from a shoulder injury, providing some quality work in the field. Maria showed vast improvement in her 1st game, looking much more comfortable with the bat and almost taking a wicket with her 1st delivery. If we told you Andrea had never kept wicket before yesterday, you'd say we were lying.. Andrea was on fire, stopping everything that came her way and even taking the catch that saw Yashi take her 1st wicket. KV became our first "Last Woman Standing" as she showed fantastic improvement & enthusiasm buzzing around the field & scoring her 1st runs. Can't wait for training tomorrow @ Fairbairn Park (Home of the Two Blues). Please arrive & be ready to start at 6pm.
