I would also like to congratulate Mariska and K9 Bill for passing their re-certification under 2 international assessors from the UK accrediting to the NSARDA UK Lowland standard.... Well done! 22.01.2022 OK Rocky come and find me!!

21.01.2022 ****** Certification and Workshop******* AS-K9inc are holding a Workshop in March with Julie and Andrew Cowan from SARDA Victoria! With our latest dog and handler team ready for certification and our policy that all our teams are certified by 3rd party assessors, we have taken this opportunity to bring the SARDA qualified assessors up to Qld for assessment of our team and a 4 day workshop!... Having Qualified and Certified canine teams ensures that all our teams are of the highest standard available to assist when called upon by emergency services, officials and families to help find the lost or missing! Not only are the dog teams assessed on their ability to locate people but are also required to ignore livestock and wildlife and any other distractions that come their way. The handlers are also tested on their ability to have full control of their canine partners ensuring that only the best teams are deployed and will get the job done!

18.01.2022 A big couple of weeks for AS-K9 members! Firstly we were invited to attend a training exercise with QPS and SES where 2 people were lost on a ridge... The canine team were on standby while SES did the initial search. About 10.30 am we got the call to deploy and made our way up to the top of the ridge where K9 Bill was to start his search... at about the 1 hr 24 min mark after some hill climbs and bush searching K9 Bill located the two missing people! Well done team!!

18.01.2022 We hope he is found safe and well. Prayers and well wishes for Mark and all his loved ones.

15.01.2022 SARDA team Julie Cowan and HRD Dog Rayne spent last week being deployed to NSW to work on two Cold Cases - 1972 and 1994 respectively. The first case in Western Sydney working alongside Police Dog Unit - NSW Police Force provided significant information allowing the family to continue their search for their missing family member. The second case on the Central Coast involved the use of three Certified HRD teams - Julie Cowan & HRD Rayne invited AS-K9 Inc team Jill McCarthy a...nd her two Certified HRD dogs Voodoo and Pippa to attend this location. Again we provided significant information for the family of this case and we were pleased with the way the dogs achieved a result for them to gather more information. Now the work on both cases has provided strength & hope for the families & this is why we do this. Our services are continuing on these cases. Thank you Jill McCarthy and Kerry Hanson for your support alongside assistants and family members.

15.01.2022 Happy international dog day from AS-K9, Murphy and River

08.01.2022 And that’s a wrap! A big shout out to SARDA team leaders Julie and Andrew Cowan for travelling up to Qld from Victoria to deliver a fantastic workshop! Unfortunately the assessment part of the weekend had to be postponed due to team member K9 Ted picked up a bug and wasn’t his usual ‘kelpie’ self... it was decided that the assessment be re-scheduled at a later date to give Ted some recovery time! I would also like to thanks team members Mariska and Wade for having us at their property for the 4 day weekend. Also thank you to our ‘lost’ people we can’t train these dogs without you!
