He urged all people, including those in the building an...d construction sector to follow the practical Government advice that they have been given; wash your hands, clean equipment and practice social distancing. He thanked people right across the construction industry who have made substantial changes to respond to the coronavirus threat; "I know that smoko on building sites looks very different today than it has ever looked," he said. Master Builders Victoria released an updated set of guidelines for employers and workers to assist them in managing any potential threat of COVID-19. Everyone needs to observe these guidelines to protect our communities, and for our industry to stay safe and open. The guidelines were developed by a united group of industry associations and unions, with guidance and assistance of the Victorian Building Industry Disputes Panel. The guidelines are informed by relevant Government authorities, including WorkSafe Victoria and the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
