02.01.2022 Coronavirus | Melbourne residents are escaping STAGE 4 lockdown with Queensland border closure loophole. Thousands of people have been taking advantage of a Queensland Coronavirus border closure loophole to flee Victoria and move north. Adam Coward runs the online removalist booking platform 'Muval' and told 9News that on their website over the past 2 weeks 65% of inquiries have been from people looking to relocate from Melbourne.... Anyone moving to Queensland, however, needs to prove they have an official lease or residency in the state. They will also have to quarantine in a hotel for 14 days if they're coming from a virus hot spot and will need a valid border pass to be able to cross the border.
