02.01.2022 Last Thursday, we held our final event for the year, ‘Accounting Pathways for International Students.’ This event offered domestic and international students the opportunity to gain insights into various accounting career pathways and receive helpful tips from our speakers regarding application processes and the transition to work. A few key topics of discussion covered by our keynote speakers include; the importance of being prepared - always prepare what you can to the bes...t of your ability. This might include having an industry professional review your resume, practising interview questions, and keeping your LinkedIn profile up to date. The second is, having a good attitude; be willing to learn, be curious, ask questions, and speak up about your needs and aspirations. Finally, try to build a good personal brand amongst your colleagues; leave the impression that you want others to know you for. Your network can help open up many different opportunities. We hope everyone who attended our event took away beneficial advice, and we look forward to seeing you at our events next year!
