19.01.2022 One of the biggest issues my clients come to me with is that they are starved for attention. The world is a great big & noisy place, sometimes it’s tremendously difficult to be seen. Even within their local communities, people can pass by their workplace/product for years and not even realise it. ... In the event of such a circumstance, it is important to create an image that first draws the eye & then creates opportunity for intrigue. How commonly do you see a new business pop up in your area with a bold look in a fresh new premises, ticking all the boxes & doing everything right to grab your attention? In reality, not a lot. But when it does happen, how do you react? Oh that’s new, I wonder what they do?, That looks cool, I might have to check that place out. Sometimes there is an opportunity to draw people in with a carefully crafted aesthetic & only after they’re drawn in do they then find out what your business actually does. This happens a great deal within the hospitality industry. Many people will attend a restaurant that looks a certain way & purveys a certain look & feel, without having the faintest clue if the food is any good! In 2020 branding matters more than ever. It’s becoming less about the product & more about how you package it. Give yourself the chance to create genuine interest & curiosity within your industry or community. Brand yourself to stand out from the rest.

17.01.2022 Every single interaction that your business has with its customer is an opportunity. From the moment your customer heard about your business, they begin to develop an understanding of your business based on the information available to them, which puts a huge emphasis of importance on what type of information you wish to make available to them at any given stage of your customer experience. Wether it be an advertisement, a website, a conversation with a team member, right ...down to the feel & accessibility of your product or service offering.. People naturally gather what information they have in front of them & use it to make decisions. Therein lies a tremendous opportunity for any business owner to steer public opinion of their business with developing a consistent & airtight brand experience from end to end. Each touch point should act as a building block, creating this story, this perception you are hopeful to convey. Any misstep throughout your user experience can harm the story you wish to convey. Create memorable experiences that are inline with your brand vision & business goals & each interaction that you have with your client will create trust & brand loyalty. Be intentional with every moment. #understandingbranding

13.01.2022 Welcome to 2020! I had such a refreshing & energising break over the holidays & I hope you all have too! So far this year has brought so much CLARITY to me & my business.. it’s really really exciting. The reality is, brand design is exploding in 2020, with more and more businesses in Australia & around the world acknowledging the importance of creating a memorable & personable brand experience around their product or service.. The process towards a buying decision has chang...ed.. It’s less about WHAT service/product you provide & infinitely more about WHY you provide it. Let 2020 be the year of VISION for your business. Treat this new decade as a new opportunity for a changed perspective & mindset. Welcome new challenges, get in the game. This year can be the year of change you’ve been waiting for. Whatever your skill set, whatever your business. Elevate yourself above all problems you face & let’s crush 2020 together.

09.01.2022 Paul Rand with a thrilling statement, perfectly illustrating the magic of design! As long as I can remember, I’ve always been a designer. I’ve always loved the language of design, visual art that is purposeful & intentional.. It really works! Sometimes in ways that I can’t fully grasp. There is just such a romance, such complexity, such depth that we may never fully comprehend.... It truly is magic. It’s captivating & beautiful & full of meaning. I personally love how design is sometimes irrational.. and in that irrationality we find creative & unexpected solutions. We interact with design every day & I must say, I believe great design makes the world a better more easily navigated place for all of us!
