23.01.2022 Following the Victorian State Government’s announcement on Tuesday 7th July 2020 and the decision to enter a six-week stage three restrictions for Metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire LGA, the AFL has made the decision that Community NAB AFL Auskick programs in these regions will not proceed as intended. The health and well-being of our participants, their family and friends, our partners, volunteers and communities has been our number one priority during the CO...VID-19 pandemic. While the situation relating to COVID-19 remains a challenge for the entire community, the worsening health situation in the Victorian community and the decision by the Victoria State Government provided too great a challenge for the Auskick season to proceed as intended in these regions. We do sincerely apologise for this but we really do hope that next year we can see the kids return to Aspendale Auskick Centre for the 2021 NAB AFL Auskick season. You will be receiving an email regarding an option for refund or credit note from the AFL. Further information can be found below: Amount paid for 2020 Season: $91 Amount refunded/credited amount: $64 Please note the amounts withheld covers any partial pack costs and processing fees. The Auskick team will work hard with the Victorian State Government and health authorities throughout this period to find avenues to bring the best, first experience with football to life. It may look a bit different, but the team will aim to bring a modified Auskick program later in 2020 through a mini-Auskick season. If you choose a credit note, you will have the option to utilise it for this program. It is a challenging time for the entire community and we encourage you to stay connected and tune into NAB AFL Auskick at Home and Footy at Home to keep practicing football skills! We will continue to closely monitor the situation and update you accordingly. **Postponed** - 17 March: Parent Information Night - 22 March: Family Day/ Season Launch - 26 March: Coaches & TM Session **To be confirmed by AFLSE** - 16 March: Umpire Training @ Regents - 18 March: Umpires & Coaches Info Session - Next Generation Training **Cancelled** - Practice Matches: including the full day on the 29 March - Group training: effectively immediately, this includes teams training together and our juniors - U8s and U9s, further communication to follow via email to these age groups. **Team Training** - Coaches and teams can continue to train, we encourage smaller group sessions or individual fitness/training plans be discussed this week in the event of future cancellations. - Please ensure strict hygiene protocols are followed (refer to link) and if anyone is feeling unwell, they should refrain from club activities immediately. ** Please note ** - It is important that our families use their discretion and can elect 'not' to participate in any activity.
