21.01.2022 ROUND 9 TEAMS! Couple of huge games this week as we move into the second half of the season. The firsts travel to Brighton District to compete for the M.Thomas Cup while the seconds will host their 2s at home. The thirds will play local rivals St. Brigids away. Congratulations to junior Campbell Gatt who will play his first game in the seniors for the club!

Our 1st XI travels to bonbeach to play rivals St. Brigids, while the 2nds play Port Melbourne at home. 3rds take on Melbourne wanderers away.... Make sure you make it back to the club rooms afterwards for our 2020 Christmas party which is always a good night!

With our senior cricket season moving closer and closer, it is extremely important to join our WhatsApp group to stay up to date with important communications regarding training and start dates. Our leadership group has decided to use WhatsApp as a method of communication between the players this season, using the phone application to convey important messages in a timely and effective manner. 09.01.2022 SENIOR RESULTS! 3/3 over the weekend for the seniors. The 1st XI had a strong win over Brighton District to claim their first win of the season led by Tommy Cleaver and Brett O'hanlon. ... The 2nd XI, also up against Brighton District, won in a nail biting contest thanks to a 65 run 9th wicket partnership between Josh Bennett and up-and-coming junior Flynn Webster. The 3rd XI made light work of local rivals St. Brigids.

07.01.2022 Hoping no one got caught up in that hailstorm this afternoon - Melbourne weather once again keeping us on our toes As we inch closer to our return to community sport date we have some good news for eligible participants from Get Active Victoria who are "reimbursing the cost of membership and registration fees, uniforms and equipment. Eligible children may be able to receive up to $200 each per round". Check the website for criteria and application information. 07.01.2022 ROUND 1 TEAMS! After the longest off-season possible, round 1 is finally upon us as the 1st and 2nd XI's get the season underway for the club this weekend. The 1st XI will travel to Mordialloc to reignite the local rivalry, as the bloodhounds look to bounce back from a disappointing 2019/20 campaign which has seen them relegated into division 1. Our firsts are again looking to capitalize on the clubs young talent stocks and push towards a 4th consecutive grand final. ... Best of luck to first game player Michael Ingram, as well as former bloodhound captain Dylan Campbell who makes his ACC return against his former club. Our 2nd XI plays Carnegie at Home, after gaining promotion to division 4 following last years premiership success. Best of luck to Christian Spirogiannis (Spizz) and Michael O'Shea who will make their debuts for the club this week, as well as Jack Illot who will play his first game on turf! The 3rd XI will play round 1 next week. Please make sure to get back to the club for a drink and to recap the days play, we have our covid-safe plan in place and can cater to crowds in line with the current hospitality restrictions put in place by the state government.

04.01.2022 RETURN TO TRAINING/PLAY ANNOUNCEMENT! Great news for all community sport organisations today, with restrictions lifted it is now time to turn our focus towards the 2020/21 cricket season! We are excited to announce that we have a covid plan in place to immediately facilitate games and training at Regents Park and Glen Street Oval, in line with current state and community coronavirus restrictions. ... Junior and Senior training will commence at Regents Park (sixth avenue, aspendale) this week, here is the schedule: Wednesday - Rookies 4:00-5:15 Under 12's 5:30-6:45 Thursday - Seniors 5:15-6:45 Monday (2/11) - Under 14s - 5:00-6:15 Tuesday (3/11) - Under 16s - 5:00-6:15 With the season commencing shortly, it is now extremely important to register so that we can finalise teams, and communicate any important information with players and parents as we receive it from cricket Victoria and our associations. 03.01.2022 JUNIOR/MASTER BLASTER ANNOUCNEMENT! We are excited to announce the appointment of senior player Jack Sullivan as the coach of our youngest age group for season 2020/21. Jack has played cricket at Aspendale his whole life, with a number of senior premierships to his name at a very young age. ... Jack has recently completed his diploma of sport and business management with SEDA, where he has taken part in, and ran a number of school clinics and programs which will translate directly into this role. Jack will use this experience to develop his skills as he looks towards a future career as a PE teacher, while bringing his own cricket knowledge to the next generation of ACC juniors. Our junior/master blaster program will begin on saturday 21st of november at regents park.
