24.01.2022 We know that everyone is eager to get back to playing tennis - so are we :) Tennis Victoria have not been able to update their advice and we cannot get clarification at this stage on how many courts we can have open and how many people can be at the courts at the one time. There are also the legal obligations of any requirements to COVID plan updates - we want to make sure that everyone is safe. We hope to get further information tomorrow and open back up as soon as possible. Stay tuned!

23.01.2022 Thanks to our loyal members for staying on board during bizarre times. Have a wonderful xmas and new year and stay safe. See you out on the court. Remember to enter names of all players in Book a Court. Cheers Grant

21.01.2022 We are running some holiday clinics in the second week of the school holidays from 9am-12pm. The form is attached for the clinic on Monday-Thursday and a tournament on Friday.

21.01.2022 Great news that we are now allowed to get back on court as per the announcement on 18th October. The comittee and coach are just as keen to play as all our members. We do however have to wait for return to play documents and further information from Tennis Victoria and our local authority before the courts are reopened. We think this should be finalised early next week and updates will be posted here and sent via email.

20.01.2022 Masks/face coverings are not required while you are playing tennis however they are mandatory when entering and exiting the club for everyone 12 years and over. Stay safe

14.01.2022 AGM was held on Thursday Night. Only attendees were the old committee & surprise surprise they were elected unopposed to the same positions. No doubt a lot of people couldn't attend as they were out on the town celebrating the Cats making the GF. We desperately need assistance with junior comps on Saturday & Sunday morning. Will be shared and not onerous. Please speak to me on 0412 163 143. cheers Grant

14.01.2022 Court 4 has been closed for Stage 3 Lockdown restrictions until 19 August. Please remember there is a maximum of 2 people per court. The only exemptions are those of the same household (maximum of 4 people) and coaching (maximum of 2 players plus coach). Tennis is fortunately one of only a few sports which can be played during this time. Please download the COVID safe app. Enjoy

10.01.2022 We have some holiday tennis in both the week before Xmas and the January holidays. Bring them for 1 day or more and get some shopping done!

09.01.2022 Please use this link to book a court https://play.tennis.com.au/AspendaleTennisClub Please remember to add all players names to your booking otherwise your booking will be cancelled. This is a COVID-19 requirement to register everyone who attends the club. Thanks for your cooperation

07.01.2022 Aspendale Tennis Club is now closed until further notice due to the new Stage 4 restrictions that were announced on 2 August 2020. Richard will be in touch with anyone who had a lesson booked. We hope everyone stays safe. We look forward to seeing everyone on the 'other side' when we can once again enjoy a game of tennis.

05.01.2022 Information from Tennis Vic regarding face masks. From Thursday 23 July 2020, you must wear a face covering whenever you leave your home, unless an exception applies. A face covering needs to cover both your nose and mouth. It could be a face mask or shield. The directions of the Victorian Government state:... # Participants 12 years and older must wear a face covering, unless an exemption applies. # If you are doing strenuous physical exercise you do not need to wear a face covering but you must carry one with you. Strenuous exercise can include playing tennis. # Coaches must wear a face covering when travelling to and from a venue and while on court unless the face covering impacts on your ability to deliver instructions or if the activity is strenuous. You must have a face covering on you at all times.

02.01.2022 Hi Aspendale Tennis Community, Although we are back into phase 3 lock down, we are fortunate that tennis is an approved activity with the following guidelines. # No access to the clubhouse, changing rooms or toilets - there is a public toilet at Regents Park if required. # Singles play only, exception being if you are playing with family household members.... # 1 hour booking maximum. # Bring your own hand sanitizer and use before and after play. # Do not share equipment or tennis balls. # Can not travel from outside your local area. # Must include all names of people playing on the booking. # Download the Covid Safe App. Richard will be running 1-2-1 lessons and lessons for families but no group or cardio lessons for the next 6 weeks. With most other activities unavailable please enjoy the privilege of using the tennis club within the guidelines. If we don't adhere to the guidelines, the club will be closed for everyone. There is a very simple message from Tennis Victoria - Get In. Play. Get Out Kind regards, Aspendale Tennis Committee
