24.01.2022 By 2030, millions of global working hours will be lost due to heat stress and dehydration, and countless lives will be at risk. A potent new Australian technology was launched at The Australian National University by WearOptimo, with whom we are partnering. Microwearable sensors being developed by WearOptimo will give the wearer an instant read-out of body water or hydration level. By providing individuals with a measure of their own hydration, action can be taken immediatel...y, before performance is impaired or health is risked, WearOptimo Founder and CEO Professor Mark Kendall said. Professor Kendall said the plan is to manufacture within Australia, creating local jobs, and export globally with the help of Aspen Medical. #WearOptimo #microwearabledevices #innovation #medtech

05.01.2022 Craig Fitzgerald spent 20 years in the Australian Army, building a career from soldier, through to aircraft handler, Aircrewman Observer, Infantry Officer, Aide... de camp and Company Commander. On transition at age 37, Craig joined Aspen Medical and has held a number of positions, from overseas project management to Director of Operations. He is currently Aspen’s Executive General Manager for International Operations with responsibility for establishing medical resources in some of the remotest locations across the world. Craig’s training in the military helped set him up to be the type of leader he wanted to be in the civilian workforce. He says his career development in the military gave him a solid base to become the ethical and responsive leader.. I wanted to be the type of leader that gave others confidence in their own ability and provided them opportunities to develop as a person and become a leader themselves, he said.
