25.01.2022 The children and educators had another fun filled day of Diwali celebrations at Aspire Cranbourne West.

24.01.2022 Our Blooms educators noticed the children intrigued and so engaged as they watched their educators apply henna on to their peers hands, so our educators collaborated recreate this experience but this time for the children to do the painting, there were hands cut out of paper stuck on a paddle pop stick, brown paint for the "henna" and thin sticks to apply it on the hands. the children used their imagination and creativity to make their very own henna hand. Mehndi, the art... of painting henna on the body, is mostly associated with weddings, and also appears during joyous celebrations such as the Hindu holiday of Diwali. The application of henna varies by country and culture, but generally the paste is applied using cone or thin stick to create delicate figures on the hands and feet of women. The henna plant is believed to bring love and good fortune, and to protect against evil spirits. See more

21.01.2022 There's nothing better than seeing the children get involved in celebrating Diwali. Our lovely educators decorated our centre and prepared a station in the car park where the children could get Henna applied, decorate their own clay candle holders and learn how to dance.

The children used a combination of different problem solving skills to unfreeze the sea animals. By using a paint brush to melt the ice and as well as the warm of their hands. The children were also to explore different sensory elements such as the coldness from the ice and the textures of the animals and the ice began to melt
