25.01.2022 Aspire Specialist Services are running Education groups for children aged 0-5 years at the ECI centre in Thurgoona in Term 4 2020. Education groups provide an opportunity for children to develop their skills in an enhanced learning environment. Activities and routines will support your child’s skills, interests and needs supported by an early childhood team that understand your child and family. 21.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we farewell Kerry May from Aspires Board. Kerry has been with Aspire since its inception in 2012 and before that was a long-serving board member with Kalparrin. Kerry worked tirelessly during her time as a board member to raise funds, ensure the continuation of services and to make collaborative decisions and big changes during challenging times. She is looking forward to seeing Aspire fulfil its plans over the next few years and has gracious...ly offered to help us out wherever she can. 11.01.2022 Today is Rare Disease Day! This week Aspire provided information sessions raising awareness of rare diseases. Building awareness of rare diseases is so important because 1 in 20 people will live with a rare disease at some point in their life. Despite this, there is no cure for the majority of rare diseases and many go undiagnosed. Rare Disease Day improves knowledge amongst the general public of rare diseases while encouraging researchers and decision makers to address the n...eeds of those living with rare diseases. 08.01.2022 Meet Tim, Del and Lyle. They are part of our Customer Advisory Network Group or CAN Group. The CAN group is an something we have recently started. Del leads the group and supports customers to discuss what Aspire is doing well, what we are not doing well and how we can improve. 03.01.2022 The Albury Wodonga Down Syndrome Family Network Group (AWDSFNG) with support from Aspire Support Services are proud to be one of many community groups across Australia joining in Celebrate T21’s nationwide Picnic Parade in honour of World Down Syndrome Day this year. Celebrate T21 is a national organisation that supports families receiving a pre or post-natal Down Syndrome diagnosis. The Picnic Parade event will be held this Saturday March 20, from 2pm - 4pm in the Children’s Garden at the Albury Botanic Gardens, with a sock parade, bubbles, BYO picnic area and more!
