23.01.2022 Today at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Cranbourne West, our rooms decided to enjoy a teddy bear picnic! We gathered teddies and cups and plates along with some yummy healthy food. By having a teddy bear picnic, it encourages the children to participate in group activities, it helps with social skills as well as gives the children an opportunity to embark on their imagination. Dramatic play encourages children to put themselves in someone else's shoes. Such role-playing helps them to improve their ability to do this in real life. They learn important skills such as empathy and language development as well as encouraging problem-solving and self-regulation skills.

23.01.2022 At Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Atherstone Estate, the children in the Banksia room are thoroughly enjoying dramatic play and role play in small groups. They are also forming positive relationships with each other as our educators encourage and role model pro social behaviours.

23.01.2022 To coincide with science week our educators at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Berwick Waters performed a simple science experiment via zoom. For children of all ages, the benefits are enormous. Doing science projects helps develop a child's resourcefulness, particularly their skills at goal-setting, planning, and problem-solving. It also nurtures intellectual curiosity, helping children acquire new ways of asking questions and understanding the world.

18.01.2022 We've had a busy week of events at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Bendigo, with our new Wacky Wednesday and R U OK? day both taking place this week. R U OK? day raises vital funds for mental health awareness, and encourages people to reach out to each other to ask the simple question 'are you ok?'. This is an important day to reflect on mental health and its importance to our general well being, as it is often such a silent issue.

18.01.2022 Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Bendigo would love to give our local family owned providers and supporters a shout out, in the hope that other Bendigo families will help support them through this difficult time. 3T fitness will be facilitating team building experiences for our team of Educators, and will also be running fitness/sporting activities for the children at the centre (when we are safely able to). During the lockdown period they have PT sessions (1:1) availabl...e, as well as great mix of interactive online fitness classes running several times a day. Bendigo Fresh have been supplying our fresh produce since we opened our centre. Their produce is always well priced, fresh and delicious, and they offer home delivery!! Swimz Bendigo will be taking our 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten children for swimming lessons, once the pool reopens and we can safely participate. Swimz take great pride in the secure and trusting relationships they build with their students, to enable all children to thrive in their lessons. Although not open right now, they will be taking enrolments as soon as they can reopen (which should be just in time to get some lessons in before summer).

17.01.2022 Everyday at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Berwick Waters, in our Music and Movement session we have been learning new Auslan signs. Auslan is, Australian sign language. A language developed by, and for, Australians who are deaf or hearing impaired. Its a visual form of communication that uses hand, arm and body movements to convey meaning.... So Far we have learnt: -Hello and Bye -Elephant and Crocodile -I and You Today with Liz we learnt '' I Can Sing A Rainbow" written by Arthur Hamilton and will be practicing it every week. This helps us to engage in enjoyable interactions using verbal and non-verbal language. Convey and construct messages with purpose and confidence, building on home/family and community literacy. 05.01.2022 Cooking time at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Berwick Waters. Cooking encourages children to work with others to produce the final result , it also encourages them to be open to foods they otherwise might not have tried, teaches them to follow directions and develop problem-solving skills. The four year old kindergarten children made scones with Lily, our centre manager. They engaged in a rich and meaningful inquiry based discussion, constructing their knowledge on measurements, time and science. Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework Outcome 4.3.2 - children develop an ability to mirror, repeat and practice the actions of others, either immediately or later.

05.01.2022 Sprinkling a little bit of happiness at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Pakenham! What a great idea from the team: In the midst of our Stage 4 Restrictions, we know how important positive attitudes can be when supporting mental health. Bright colours, art, colouring-in and expressing joy and creativity, can help to soothe anxious feelings when there are things happening in the world that are out of our control. Last week you might have seen some red, and this week a lit...tle orange. Over the next few weeks there will be more colour. We invite all families to participate too. Even if you are at home, we would love to see what you are doing with the Colour of the week Next Week 24th Aug - Yellow 31st Aug - Green 7th Sept - Blue 14th Sept - Pink 21st Sept - Purple We look forward to seeing some beautiful bright colours over the next few weeks.

04.01.2022 In the kinder room at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Cranbourne West, we have created a a play space incorporating indigenous learning within a natural play space environment. Children have loved this play space as it allows them to explore colours, natural resources and use chalk to learn about the culture in a different sense. The kinders do so well in acknowledging the country every morning as a group and discussing why we say it. Embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives will enhance the educational experiences of non-Indigenous children as well. It will not only give them a more accurate and richer understanding of Australias history and culture, it will help them to understand how we got to where we are today; and how we might move forward together. Its about reconciliation.

03.01.2022 At Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Cranbourne West we celebrated Jeans for Genes day, in recognition of that we decorated a pair of jeans. The children sat together used their imagination and worked on their fine motor skills, We pasted things such as feathers and used glitter glue, the children had so much fun! Jeans for Genes was established in 1994 by Childrens Medical Research Institute to fund revolutionary research that helps diagnose, understand, and find cures or treatments for conditions affecting kids, including genetic diseases, cancer, and epilepsy.

01.01.2022 Water play at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Pakenham! Water play, an open ended experience that allows children to explore outcomes and make discoveries. A child can refine their problem solving skills by watching an object float and sink, or build fine motor control as they fill a bucket with water and then empty the water out. Water play is also emotionally therapeutic and helps release energy as the children calmly sway their hands through the water and feel the di...fferent temperatures and textures that are beneath the surface. Water play experiences are also great for social development and encourages the children to engage in meaningful interactions and build connections and relationships that are vital to their learning and development.

01.01.2022 There's nothing better than seeing the children get involved in celebrating Diwali at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Cranbourne West! Our lovely educators decorated our centre and prepared a station in the car park where the children could get Henna applied, decorate their own clay candle holders and learn how to dance.
