23.01.2022 We are so excited to share that our kindergarten children (2020) won the Dental Health week art competition which was conducted by Monash Health. All children participated in this group poster was awarded with a Dental hygiene gift pack. Together we congratulate our little artist for their great achievement.

18.01.2022 Children in the Kindergarten Hub celebrated Children's Week participating in a variety of experiences.

15.01.2022 Children in the three year old kindergarten hub participated in an Aboriginal Colour Painting for our new learning space on Aboriginal Art and Culture. During the group time, educators initiated open ended discussion about Aboriginal colours, animals, flag, culture and people intentionally where children were excitedly engaged, listened and showed their interest and respect towards Aboriginal art. Open ended conversation invited meaningful communication skills and develop language skills. This experience also helps children to understand more about Aboriginal Art and the beautiful culture. Children strengthen their fine motor skills and eye and hand coordination as they carefully painted small and large leaves, noticing and learning names of some patterns during the process.

11.01.2022 Chinese New Year Children have been participating in various creative expressions throughout this week to celebrate Chinese New Year. These type of art and craft experiences is for children to notice differences in appearance and behaviours from a young age. Their experiences in early education and care, with families and in the community creates opportunities to develop their self-identity. It’s also a good opportunity to encourage respectful and responsive relationships with others.

11.01.2022 Toddler Hub at Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten Berwick Waters The weather was perfect for water play , stimulating an experience of water play for children to experiment, explore and make discoveries. The children were very excited and enthusiastically participated in scooping, sifting, pouring and catching water with their hands. They also engaged in shovelling sand and creating different sand moulds. Children enjoyed the therapeutic value of water, enhancing their learning on measurements and weights through play.

09.01.2022 Our nursery children have completed a smooth transition into our toddler hub. Children are still displaying a great interest in babies, which stimulated educators to incorporate a nursery learning environment within the room. This imaginative space provides children with the opportunity to understand and display empathy ,kindness, and respect towards each other. It also develops their social, emotional and language skills.

09.01.2022 Diwali Celebrations at Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten Berwick Waters

08.01.2022 Spreading a Symbol of Hope ! It is no doubt that the past situation has challenged every individual in an unique way. Children at Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten Berwick Waters are planting sunflower seeds, to spread hope, sunshine and joy. Children are also enhancing their learning on the life cycle of a sunflower and how to upkeep the plant.

03.01.2022 Today was the grand opening of the Ice Cream Parlor and Juice Bar in the three year old Kindergarten Hub. This learning environment emerged from children initiating their own experience of selling and buying ice cream in the outdoor cubby house. Children assisted in setting up their favorite experience by participating in a creative expression, to add more resources into the shop and negotiated different roles constructing their knowledge on monetary values and numeracy.

02.01.2022 Children in the Toddler Hub have been displaying a keen interest on dinosaurs. Enhancing the children's learning and interest educators incorporated a dinosaur island in the sensory trough. The coloured water and the sand made it interesting for children to explore. Children demonstrated their imaginative skills as their dinosaurs went swimming, taking baths, jumping, eating leaves in the water and in the muddy sand.

02.01.2022 Echidna Creative Expression . The children in the 3 year old kindergarten room have been participating in experiences in relation to Australia Day. Children were excited to create a huge echidna for the room, where they used sponges to provide color to the echidna and tiny sticks for the spikes. The children enhanced their learning - " Echidnas are egg laying mammals and their spikes are actually hair, that they use for defence".

01.01.2022 Australia Day experiences are underway in our Toddler Hub ! As a part of Australia Day observance the children engaged in dot painting and Aboriginal flag creating activity. This experience enhanced their creativity, small group experience, and the knowledge about the colours and Australian history.
