23.01.2022 As many of you will know we currently have Brandon and Jay completing their university practicum hours with us. For their studies, they will need to complete some particular tests over the next few weeks. We are looking for any members who are interested in some free testing in these areas.... The boys will run you through the testing, provide you with your results, and then discuss with you where you sit on the normative scale. There is no limit on how many tests you can have done, as long as we can find a time to book you in with either of the boys. If you are interested please email us, give us a call or visit the us to talk to one of the trainers about booking a time. We hope to see you guys soon.



23.01.2022 It’s time for a well deserved summer so we’re hosting our Christmas sundowner to cap off 2020 the right way! All Aspire members are invited so come on down and have a good drink and a good time! (As long as your at the gym the next day to work it off) Join us from 5pm on Friday the 18th.... Top male = Adam Gilchrist with 1:31.7 Top female = Clare Potts with 1:54.7 Longest bridge/plank Top male = Jim Koios with 14:16 Top female = Lilian Bunny with 6:00 Fastest lake run Top male = Matt Cairns with 1:06 Top female = Laura Bennett with 1:09 We are going to continue to run these challenges until the end of October so if you want to knock someone off the top spot, you still have a few weeks to get stuck in to your training. 19.01.2022 To our Aspire members, Christmas is fast approaching and as such, we wanted to keep you all up to date on our opening hours over the next few weeks. The hours will be as follows: Thursday 24th: 5:30am-1pm (Both morning classes running as per normal)... Friday 25th: CLOSED Saturday 26th: CLOSED Sunday 27th: CLOSED Monday 28th: CLOSED (Boxing day public holiday) Tuesday 29th: 5:30am-1pm (Both morning classes running as per normal) Wednesday 30th: 5:30am-1pm (Both morning classes running as per normal) Thursday 31st: 5:30am-1pm (Both morning classes running as per normal) Friday 1st: CLOSED Saturday 2nd onwards - OPEN AS PER NORMAL Take care and all the best, Josh, Ash, and the crew at Aspire.

Long time Aspire member Ray Jordan absolutely smashed our planking challenge with a breathtaking 15 minute (15:01) plank Ray now leads our planking challenge by 45 seconds leading into the final two weeks. If you think you have what it takes to get on the leaderboard, come in and have a crack ... We also have a 500m rowing challenge, and a 350m running challenge. Come down and test yourself at WA’s most inclusive gym

17.01.2022 Ex-Aspire trainer and great friend of the gym Eric Stewart will be running 4 miles (6.5km) every 4 hours for 48 hours straight on the 20th December to raise money for the Black Dog Institute. Aspire are proud to support Eric and we know how hard he will work to make this happen. If any of you out there who know Eric would like to donate to this great cause, we have posted the link below. As you know Eric is a great bloke and this is a great cause, so let's all get behind him in any way we can and if you see him around Aspire, be sure to wish him luck!



12.01.2022 Another round of Aspire challenges have come to a close and once again we have seen some HUGE efforts Firstly we had our Longest bridge/plank challenge and our members did NOT disappoint Congratulations to the absolute animal that is James Koios who held a bridge for an incredible 30 minutes and 30 seconds to take out the men’s challenge! Well done mate ... And a huge shout out to the amazing and understated Cheryl McCoy who took out the women’s challenge with a powerful 8 minutes 11 seconds bridge Our 500m timed rowing challenge was the most popular by far, recording more than doublethe amount of attempts than either of the other challenges The big man Tom Betleham beat all comers with an outstanding 1:27s, beating second place by more than 4 seconds And the bubbly but deadly Clare Giselle finished well clear on top of the women’s records with an unassailable 1.54.7s row And last but not least we had our 400m lake run challenge, which incorporates two hairpins and an uphill run. Big shout out to Laura Bennett who not only stormed home with the best time for the ladies (1:09s), but also finished 2nd in the 500m rowing challenge as well And the lean mean running machine that is Steve Huey Lewis rounded out our men’s winners with a very quick 1:05 run Brilliant effort from all of our podium finishes, hats off to you all and well done to absolutely everyone who had a crack at one or more of the challenges. Regardless of where you finished, it’s fantastic to see you all putting 100% effort into your training. We are extremely proud of you all Stay tuned for our next round of challenges coming through soon to take us into the new year
