Green roofs are an accepted part of modern building in Europe where some city and national governments have mandated their use. 11.01.2022 Due to the rear of the property being in original condition and in the need for modernising, the clients engaged us to extend the rear of the property to make a more liveable and family friendly area. The rear was demolished and extended to create an extra 92m2 of space, while keeping the rustic charm of the property. The rear rooms and asbestos in the property were removed, along with the carport and front fencing. Being in the Heritage protected area of Inglewood we had to ...adhere to the Character Retention Guidelines as set out by the City of Stirling. That meant being conscious of how demolition was done, what materials we could use and the integration of the original property and the new addition. Finding existing and recycled materials to use was a challenge but something that has turned out to be a great home for our clients. A new carport and front façade with landscaping and feature fencing welcomes you on arrival. A renovated hallway leads you to the rear of the home where a new bathroom with feature spa, laundry and open plan living area were created. A dramatic brick feature wall is the main highlight of the living area, while luxurious fixtures and fittings are dotted throughout the home. A purpose-built BBQ and entertaining area flow perfectly from the living area via stunning sliding stackers. Rear landscaping hardscaping finish off this home nicely. See more

10.01.2022 Ready to take the plunge into building or renovating? You might think it's as easy as asking a builder to price your job but there's a lot more to it. For example, ask yourself: Why am I looking to build or renovate?... Do I have a good idea of what I'd like to do? Have I engaged a designer? What is my all in budget and do I have/need finance? When would I like to start/be finished by? These are only five questions (out of many more) that a good builder will ask you when you contact them for a quote. During the first phone call or email you should be asked these questions and more. Please take the time to answer them so the builder knows how they can help you, to get the home you want.
