16.01.2022 Following the announcement of a 5-day lockdown in Victoria, the Australian Dental Association has recommended that we must limit our services to urgent dental treatment only. This means we will be deferring all non-urgent treatment such as regular check-ups and cleans until restrictions are lifted. This will take place as of Friday 16th July. We are hopeful we can re-open on Wednesday 21st July pending government advice. Dr Peter and Dr Richard therefore will be seeing patien...ts for urgent treatment only. Urgent dental treatment refers to: Swelling Facial trauma Dental trauma Significant & constant pain Patient Appointments If your appointment has been affected, we will be contacting you in due course to reschedule your appointment. All other appointments that are not affected by the five-day lockdown will continue and we will make sure to notify you of any changes. For any emergencies, please phone us to discuss and we will advise on the best course of action. COVID-19 Dental restrictions have eased with recent announcements from the Victorian government and we can recommence non-urgent services from the 11th of June. We are now able to schedule all dental treatments for healthy patients from the 11th of June onwards. If we have cancelled your treatment due to COVID -19 restrictions we will be in contact to reschedule your appointment in the coming days.... What does this mean? Level 1 restrictions permit all dental treatments using standard precautions for people who do not meet epidemiological or clinical risk factors for COVID-19 infection transmission. Non-urgent treatment for people who do meet epidemiological or clinical symptom criteria for COVID-19 risk should be deferred. Patients will be asked to wear face masks upon entry and in the waiting room. The face mask requirement applies to everyone aged 12 years and older unless an exemption applies. Social distancing measures have been set up in the waiting room as well as the staggering of appointments. We ask that all patients sanitise their hands with the alcohol-based handrub provided when they present at reception. We are also screening patients for possible symptoms, close contact with COVID-19 cases, and if you have been to any of the potential exposure sites. We want to ensure the safety of all our patients and staff with appropriate pre-screening for all patients.
