17.01.2022 The beauty of community. Over the past few years, a local non-profit volunteer group (Sandy Street Art Project Inc) has been adding street art around the community. Earlier this year, they planned an art installation for Anzac Day and put out a call for volunteers to hand knit 200 poppies - they received a huge response and received 3000!!! Anzac Day was cancelled but now these have finally been displayed for Rememberance Day. Well done to all, I am certain that’s the way the soldiers would have wanted to be remembered.

02.01.2022 I took the photo above last Friday night at Sandringham beach. It had been a really long week. Not even sure why it felt harder than normal. I think most people in Melbourne are feeling some flatness right now. And a jumble of emotions and thoughts. Some days seem the same as many other days right now. Clearly we are missing adventure. My Mum suggested it was a loss of spontaneity - and I agree with her.... So last Friday at 5pm, end of the week, with my daughter, we wandered down to the beach to get some fresh air. And we were greeted with this amazing sunset. We sat together for 10 minutes, slowly watching the sun disappear. It was awesome! We came back on a high - rejuvinated. Yet we had been gone for less than 30 minutes. Highlighting for me, that even just that small moment can give you so much. My goal in the 42 days of Wellness Challenge is simple. Just do one thing each day that clears my head, that is healthy. It may be on the list, it may not be. I will decide each day. So get spontaneous and enjoy the 42 days!
