11.01.2022 A RETURN TO COMPETITIVE TENNIS While our very own John Peers takes to the court at the US Open Tennis Championships later tonight, we have an important update regarding Junior Pennants for the summer at Mosman Park Tennis Club. We sent the below in our most recent newsletter. Contact the Pro Shop or send us a DM if you had any queries!... If you are wanting to play Adult Pennants (night, midweek or weekend), let us know and we will put you in touch with the relevant people at the Club for you to register! For JUNIOR PENNANTS, please note: Age groups are now U13, U15 and U18 (instead of the previous U12, U14, U16) All U13 leagues play with 3 players (instead of 4 previously), with each player playing 2 doubles matches and 1 singles match on a morning Matches remain on a Sunday morning There is a finish time of 11.30am for all U13 yellow ball divisions There is a finish time of 10.45am for all orange and green divisions The previous finish time of 12.30pm still applies for U15 and U18 events The season will run over 12 home and away rounds, commencing on Sunday 18 October with the last match before the Christmas break on Sunday 6 December. The season will restart on Sunday 7 February and conclude on Sunday 7 March. Semi Finals and Finals will be held on 14 and 21 March respectively. If you are wanting your child to play pennants over the summer, you can either form a team yourself and play together, or alternatively submit your child's name to Sam and we will put them in a team. We’re halfway through our first school week back and it’s great to see everyone back on court, despite the weather this week! Remember if you are going to hit the courts- be sure to book online at www.mosmanparktennisclub.com.au. Let’s play by the rules and keep our club open for play... We introduce you to two new fantastic coaches who you’ll see a bit more of at Aspire Tennis throughout the term! Be sure to give them a warm welcome elbow tap when you’re next at the club Groups of up to 4 players on a court are now permitted. 03.01.2022 This is a double post all about Karis Firstly, from everyone at Aspire Tennis & Mosman Park Tennis Club we wish her the happiest of birthdays today!! Secondly (and possibly more importantly!), we wish her all the very best in her move to Sydney. As everyone now knows Karis and her partner have relocated to the east coast for a new adventure and challenge.... Karis was adored by the kids and adults alike and has left a lasting impression on everyone she has worked with. She was relatable, fun, reliable and had a wealth of knowledge.
