22.01.2022 Important Info for Aqua Class Participants... Rec Club 1 Pool will be closed from Tuesday 6th October for approximately 6 weeks until middle of November (estimate) This means that our Aqua Classes every Monday & Wednesday will be put on hold once I am back from holidays, for at least the month of October. ... I have looked into the possibility of moving the classes to Rec 2 pool, but with no heaters it will definitely be way too cold (for at least October) I have been monitoring pool temps for years, non heated pools are usually not reaching a suitable temp first thing in mornings until at least mid November. I will see how Rec 2 pool is by early November, if warm enough I will look into resuming our classes there until the maintenance works are completed at Rec 1 I will send out a group notification by txt message, and keep all ladies in the loop with any Changes that may occur Renee

There will be champagne and nibbles provided, PT Clients please come along in your favourite fitness active wear We will be having a ‘FUN’ Xmas photo shoot, I will bring along some props, it’s guaranteed to be a great afternoon with heaps of laughs ... 18.01.2022 Little snippet for my clients that are working on getting more ‘power’ in their rowing Notice the stroke rate sitting at a consistent 27/28 strokes per minute. If we slow down the ‘recovery’ phase, we will be able to put more strength into each stroke, without ending up quite so breathless

17.01.2022 Xmas Kayak 2020 This event is growing every year, by far the most kayakers we’ve had yet!! A huge Thankyou to all who came along, and for those who couldn’t make it, next years will be even bigger I’m sure ... And One Spot available in a Tuesday morning Strength/Resistance Small Group Training Session, 8-9am. ... Small Group Training Sessions run for a 10 week block, and are limited to 4 people per group. 11.01.2022 Would just like to say a MASSIVE THANKYOU to all of my loyal Clients, I am beyond blessed to be able to work with such beautiful people everyday I will be on break now until Tuesday 6th October, when my next 10 week block will commence (taking us all up until I break for Xmas) ... I am looking forward to two weeks of R&R, and being able to switch my brain off !! Looking as though my next 10 week block is going to be huge, pretty much all timeslots fully booked I will always post any availability I may have on here, so for those clients looking for an extra spot each week keep a look out Renee

10.01.2022 Tuesday early morning kayak. I am planning on being dropped off in the boat with my kayak at the entrance of the North Arm, then paddling along to the entrance of Wasp Creek, through Wasp, back to the river and home to CW, possibly stopping in at the marina for breaky at The Press Cafe.. We have room in the boat for up to 5 others who would like to come along, (your kayak would be towed to the starting point) I do have one spare kayak to lend to anyone who doesn’t own a kay...ak and would like to join us. 06.01.2022 COVID-19 Update for all Clients, PT & Aqua Participants Due to the recent confirmed cases in our local area, I would like to remind everyone about required safety measures we have in place to keep us all safe... Hand Sanitiser is at the front of the gym, and at the Rec 1 Pool, please use upon entering and as often as you require during your training session. Please remember your towel, if you happen to forget to bring one to your session I do have clean spare towels ...available to lend. All equipment is sanitised after use, time is allocated between bookings to allow for cleaning.. If anyone has ANY SYMPTOMS AT ALL, regardless of how minor, I would ask that you contact me as soon possible. My usual 24hr cancelation policy will be put on hold for the time being as I do not believe it’s fair to penalise clients who are doing the right thing by staying away if not 100 % well on their booked training day. Together we can all still train safely, if we all follow these guidelines.. Everyone’s Health & Safety is my number 1 priority Renee

06.01.2022 My philosophy on a healthy happy body and life.. 1) You do not have to train to extremes, but you do need to be consistent with your training. 2) You do not need to do crazy ‘diets’ or cut out entire food groups, but you do need to eat a good variety of foods within your daily calorie allowance ... 3) You need to be aware of your daily habits, good and bad, and make small changes as necessary 4) You need to be aware of your circle of influence .. ie, the people you spend most if your time with. Are they having a good influence on your goals?? 5) You need to be true to yourself If you need any help with any of the above, I’m just a message away Renee

03.01.2022 Time to start taking accountability with my nutrition once again.. It’s so easy over the holidays to indulge a little more than we planned (I Know I Did!! ) This is why I love MY Fitness Pal and tracking my macros so much. ... We DO NOT NEED to go on any ‘Crazy Diet’ or ‘Cleanse’ or ‘Detox’ or ‘Challenge’ or whatever else may be thrown in your face this time of year. All we need is to know is ‘What’ we are consuming and roughly ‘how much’. Once we learn the art of tracking our food and what works for YOUR BODY there is never any need for any YoYo diet ever again. All you need is a little willpower (meaning you WANT results, not just like the idea of results ) and to be consistent, and I guarantee you WILL see results Who’s with me?? 03.01.2022 Highlighting Jessica’s Results !! Jess had never trained with a PT before, goals set were to gain upper body strength, and improve her running time, form and endurance to help with trail running. 10 x 1hr Sessions later, Jess is finding her running a lot easier, and is feeling stronger all over, in both her body and mind.. ... Some of our fitness assessment results achieved in 10 sessions... Wall Sit.. 45s - 2mins 20sec Push Ups.. Went from struggling on knees to be able to do 10 full pushups on Toes Dead Hang.. 20s - 61s Bench Press.. 30kg - 45kg AND.. Achieving 1 Unassisted Chin Up All done with an improvement in her flexibility Well Done Jessica, Super Proud of your Efforts and Achievements Renee

02.01.2022 Great way for Kristy to finish off her week of training.. WAY out of her comfort zone, 50kg PB!! Took a little bit of convincing that she could do it, but once she believed she could, guess what?? She did it ... We achieve what the mind believes

01.01.2022 RESULTS ALERT Donna Bouma came to me with the goal of gaining some strength, working on ‘feeling good within herself’ (best goal ever ) and hopefully losing 3/4kg along the way.. I’m beyond proud to say that with her 1 Private PT session per week, and joining one of our Small Group Boxing Sessions, Donna has certainly achieved what she set out to do. ... Incorporating daily walks, with a little bit of jogging inbetween, Strength PT Sessions and logging her food, Donna has now created healthy habits that will last a lifetime.. There has been no harsh restrictions on foods eaten, we simply put more focus into bumping up the amount of protein eaten and cutting down the amount of alcohol consumed each week.. Super proud of your efforts Donna, keep up the great work
