25.01.2022 It is not too late to join the North Brisbane Fishing challenge. Aspley SHS is hosting a day of fishing at the Shorncliffe Pier on Sunday the 18th October. It is open to students of all ability levels in years 5-12.... The day will start with a ‘learn to fish’ session followed by the fishing challenge. The shed was bursting full by the time they'd... all left... and all have already been collected by one of our in house 'Santa's' and are on their was to 'Toy Central' ready to sort and pack for all the families who will spend this Christmas in refuge. Thank you to Caroline Daffy and your incredible network of friends - a huge selection of beautiful toys, games, sporting & gift cards + more. Thank you to the staff and students of Aspley State High School for the boot load of presents.. so much variety; toys, craft, games & pamper items.. Thank you also to Megan and Colin for the delivery. Wonderful to see a school get on board with collections, and what a great job the students did too. 18.01.2022 Congratulations to two of our Senior football students and school captains, Cody and Jess, who have been selected to represent Aspley as part of the Schools Premier League (SPL) select team. Cody and Jess will play games against the Brisbane Roar Academy (Cody) and Queensland Academy of Sport QAS (Jess) as a reward for their efforts in SPL competition this year on Wednesday 14th October. They have both played integral parts in the Aspley Eagles football program since Year... 7 and thoroughly deserve this opportunity to play with and against some of the best footballers in Queensland for their age. We have partnered up with Rize Up to help bring some Christmas joy to families in need. We are looking for donations of brand new toys and gifts (dolls, balls, cricket sets, board games, teen make-up sets, drawing/colouring-in books, craft activities, gift vouchers etc.) ... We will be accepting donations for the Rize Up Christmas Appeal up until the end of November and students can bring donations to the F block staffroom to Miss Booth or Miss Coats.
