24.01.2022 Congratulations to Matt Harry (Somerton SLSC) who has won the 2019 Novice Sweep of the Year! Matt was the sweep for the 'Sendits' and 'Seahawks'. The Seahawks made the State Titles Open Male final, finishing 4th, while the Sendits dominated across the Junior categories and won gold in Reserve Male at the state titles, and achieved plenty of great achievements on the national stage. Matt is the fourth sweep who is currently sweeping at Somerton who has won this award.



22.01.2022 Congratulations to Peter 'Pedro' Tidswell (Glenelg SLSC) who has won the 2019 Sweep of the Year! Pedro took on a huge task at Glenelg this season with a key injury to fellow sweep, Greg Daw. Pedro was always at the back of the boat, and achieve great things both in SA and interstate. He had success at Worlds, Aussies and States! One of his achievements some would not know about ... he swept his daughter for the first time in a final of the Under 19 Female at states.

14.01.2022 Congratulations to the Most Improved Club for 2019, Brighton! Brighton continue to push their crews to travel and this year they had a number of crews at ASRL Open and Aussies. A gold was won in Reserve Female at LWC Adelaide 2018 and their numbers in the Female categories are remarkable! Sweep development is something that it becoming an obvious focus with a number of new sweeps wearing the red cap in the past 12 months.



13.01.2022 This year we have introduced two new awards which reward the efforts of our wonderful volunteer officials! Congratulations to Sharon Pearsons (Somerton SLSC) who has received the New Official of the Year and Warwick Archer (Brighton SLSC) who has received the Official of the Year!

08.01.2022 The big award for the evening was just handed out to Somerton! Congratulations to Somerton who are the 2019 Premier Surf Boat Club for the second season in a row! The club had a number of huge results across the season including;... - 2 x medals at LWC Adelaide 2018 - SILVER at Aussies (Short Course, Open Female) - 3 crews in the state team - A top 8 finish at ASRL Open (Under 19 Male) - 7 medals at State Titles (4 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze) - Participated in the National Team Trials - Introduced two new officials



07.01.2022 After a stellar reason, the Somerton 'Sendits' have won the Young Guns Crew (Male) award for 2019! Four gold medals at States (U19M, U23M, Reserve Male and Boat Relay) along with an Interstate cap, silver at LWC Adelaide 2018 and a top 8 at ASRL Open was more than enough to secure this award.
