15.01.2022 Sanaya Sahib murder: Mother Sofina Nikat confesses to killing 14-month-old daughter Any investigator following the above investigation would have formed an opinion on this matter very early in the piece. There were so many flags that were raised that needed explanation. Always innocent until proven guilty but if the confession stands then it is a sad day for a lot of people. May Sanaya find peace wherever she now might be.

15.01.2022 ASSI Investigations specialises in dating scam investigations and has recently uncovered two such scams involving ladies residing in the USA. One of these ladies was in the advanced stages of cancer and sent over $60,000 to a man who said he had medicine that could treat her condition. He was asking for more money to get the medicine approved for use when we stepped in. Whilst these people are very difficult to find we did save the victim over $50,000 which she was about to send and we identified the person as being based in Nigeria and not in an exclusive part of London where he was supposed to be. If you are suspicious or you have a family member sending money overseas give us a call even just for peace of mind. We could save you a lot of money and a lot of heartache.

14.01.2022 This is why Interviews must be conducted in a correct manner. A murder charge against the man who killed Josh Warneke has been dropped after a Supreme Court judge found police had repeatedly ignored the law during unfair and unreasonable interviews with the suspect. Gene Gibson pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter on Friday, just weeks before he was due to face trial accused of killing the Broome apprentice.... The plea was accepted by State prosecutors after Justice Stephen Hall threw out interviews in which Gibson allegedly admitted running over the 21-year-old and hitting him with a rock. Justice Hall found the officers involved in the two-year investigation had committed a string of "serious breaches" of the Criminal Investigation Act that cast significant doubt on the reliability of the evidence. Mr Warneke died in 2010 after a night out with friends at the Oasis Bar, Roebuck Bay Hotel and Bungalow Bar on Dampier Terrace. Criminal Lawyers' Association of WA vice-president Philip Urquhart said it was bewildering that experienced police officers had failed to follow basic rights clearly spelt out in legislation since the 1990s. "It might be time for the Police Commissioner to have some refresher courses for his officers in how to conduct interviews," Mr Urquhart said. Justice Hall ruled police interviews held over two days after major crime squad officers arrived at the remote Kiwirrkurra Community in August 2012 were not voluntary and it would be unfair to allow them to be admitted in evidence. The judgment found police failed to caution Gibson on his right to silence at an initial unrecorded interview and the 21-year-old had not understood the caution given by officers when they belatedly began recording. Justice Hall said there was no reasonable excuse for a decision not to get an interpreter for Gibson, who was at a "serious disadvantage" because he had only a basic level of English. A police spokeswoman said a senior officer was considering Justice Hall's observations.

12.01.2022 ASSI continues to conduct investigations worldwide with an enviable success rate. If you are planning on looking for an investigator be careful of those that simply want to take your money. ASSI has professional Investigators across not only Australia but many overseas locations and as we train out own you can be sure of the best service.

10.01.2022 Interesting read in the news this week concerning the Paparazzi and the fitness trainer Michelle Bridges who sought an ADVO against a paparazzi for taking photographs of her in public. I think this was going to be an uphill battle from the start as any one would know who has an understanding of the NSW Surveillance Devices Act.

08.01.2022 Busy week with a major fraud investigation looking into the activities of a scammer purporting to be a doctor and who has succeeded in taking over $75,000 from a female client. There should be an new offence of emotional theft as this type of crime is becoming more and more prevalent.
