21.01.2022 Well, I should really have done this last week. Here is our new piece of equipment. A CNC lathe. It's the baby brother to the larger unit that we have (big brother is 3m long). This one is just over a meter in bed length. We needed a smaller machine to do...smaller jobs. Lets get this one moving!

Easy to clean, just take it outside and power wash it off once you are at the end of the roll. Mass production will begin shorty, Australia, you can be safe in the knowledge that we will take care of you when times are tough.

15.01.2022 Today we changed out our old 400W Hi-Bay lights for brand new 150W LED overhead lights. 26 lights replaced in total. These lights, coupled with our solar system, will help us not only reduce our electricity dependency from the states coal fired plants, but will also save us money due to the much lower energy requirements of the lights. Also the light they emit looks nice and white, much easier to see in the workshops now.

12.01.2022 Sorry it's been so long in between posts here folks. We've just completed a nice delicate little job that I thought we should share. Now mechanical engineering fabrication is not all about perfectly machined components, immaculate welds, large underground mining buckets. It maybe fine very lightweight work. Sometimes a client talks to us and says, "AI&S we can't buy these anywhere, can you make an item for us?". ... In this case it was 10 fryer baskets for a local fish and chips shop. The wire that we welded together for the basket is 1.2mm in diameter! You can see the minuscule welds that we had to expertly lay to weld the cage together and not have it melt under the electrical charge. Very small amps and a steady hand is required. We made them lighter than the originals. Once they are in doing their job I think I'll pop in for a serve of calamari and chips ;) Any other chippies reading this? The baskets are 225 wide x265 long x155 deep. $325.00 + GST per each. Call us if you need our help. Any sizes available upon request.

07.01.2022 At AI&S we pride ourselves on our customer service. Our customers tell us that they like dealing with us. We think a small part of this is the way we answer the phone and our manners in regards to the way we communicate with suppliers, clients or employees either by email or telephone. ... We never went to any courses, we never read any "how to do" online articles, it just comes naturally to us. Over the past few months we've been noticing an increase in suppliers with very poor communication skills. People answer the phone "Hello ........" That's it, no "Good morning/afternoon ". To us that not only lacks professionalism but also their desire to actually care about who they are and the company they work for. We will always answer the phone at AI&S with a Good Morning or Afternoon and the name of the person answering the phone. We want to connect with our clients and our suppliers on a personal level so that our businesses can work together towards a mutually beneficial relationship. Regards Nathan Kloboucek

As you can see from the photograph our roof is now not just cover from the elements!
