A respected Assyrian journalist and radio broadcaster known around the world who will always be remembered for his work and passion for journalism. On behalf of the Assyrian Australian Association we offer our deepest condolences to his wife Asmar Younan and family, may his soul rest in peace.

16.01.2022 Saturday 7th March 2020 the famous Russian born Assyrian tenor Andrey Mikhailov and the Assyrian Aid Society committee joined the teachers of the Assyrian Diqlat School and the AAA committee for breakfast at St Johns Park High School. Andrey then met with the children before classes commenced. Just a reminder Mesopotamian Night hosted by Assyrian Aid Society - Australia is this coming Sunday 15th March 2020 @ 5pm, Bryan Brown Theatre & Function Centre. Come and see Andrey perform Assyrian Opera and also our amazing local artists Wilson Eshay, Helen Isaac, Urhay Warda, Niramsin and many more.

15.01.2022 Dear Community FAIRFIELD FREE POP-UP COVID-19 TEST CLINIC will be held on Saturday 16/5/2020 at 25 Barbara Street Fairfield NSW (Fairfield Community Centre) For further information, please read below message from Fairfield City Council. Thank you Fairfield Council for this great initiative. ... Please stay safe.. As part of the State Government’s push to increase testing for COVID-19 across the state, there is a FREE pop-up COVID-19 testing clinic at Fairfield Community Centre and Hall. The Centre is located at 25 Barbara Street, Fairfield. Off street parking is available next to the hall on Barbara Street. The pop-up temporary clinic will run until this Saturday 16 May- 9.30am to 4pm. If you have any flu like symptoms, no matter how mild, please present yourself for testing. No referrals or appointments are necessary. You can also get tested for FREE at Fairfield Hospital from 10am to 5.30pm weekdays and 10am to 3pm on weekends and public holidays. Please remember, if you are unwell, don’t come into work. Advise your Manager, get yourself tested, wait for the results and feeling better again before returning to the work place

01.01.2022 Our community in Australia is saddened by the loss of one of our most respected and loved artist in our nation. The late John Homeh was today 8th May 2020 laid to rest at Kemps Creek Cemetery in Sydney Australia. Our deepest condolences and heartfelt thoughts are with John’s wife Najiba Homeh and family, may the Lord grant you strength and peace during this difficult time. John will be remembered for his beautiful work in the community. Some of his famous work include Wardeh Deesheh starred by his late brother George Homeh and Juliana Jindo, also lyrics like Nineveh Oh Ashur sung by Urhay Warda, Sara d Matan sung by Ashur Bet Sargis and many more. Rest in peace, gone but never forgotten.
