16.01.2022 Are you a young person or know one with a great story to tell? Heywire is a storytelling competition, open to people aged 16 to 22, who are living, working or studying in regional Australia. The Heywire Competition empowers young people from all over regional Australia to tell the nation what life is like in their part of the world, showcasing the diversity of regional experience. The competition is made up of 40 winners who work with ABC producers and see their stories featu...red across ABC platforms including ABC TV, RN, local radio, triple J and iview. They also score a place at the Heywire Regional Youth Summit, where winners come together to discuss how life could be improved for young people in their communities. Entries can be submitted in any format including writing, video, photos and audio. Entries are now open, and close September 16, 2020. 15.01.2022 YAG is stoked to announce its Youth Skate Festival will be happening from 5-9 October, deets on below poster. Heaps of workshops, comps and even something for beginners. Not just skating but BMX and art too, we have local legends Nicky Hayes, Greg Barnes, Joe Hurley, Frank Wilson, Tammy Cornthwaite and Mark Twohig sharing their tips and tricks. Heads up thouCouncil has had to close down sections of the facility for today (Friday 25 Sept) due to re-surfacing works in progress. We thank everyone for their patience as we want the place smick-o in time for the Festival!
