24.01.2022 Astha volunteers visited Bushfire disaster zones Nowra Nsw, Lake Conjola, Ulladulla, New South Wales, Milton Nsw. Big Thanks to NSW RFS for taking care of the fires in Australia. Yesterday, we worked directly with the local communities. We offered Help with what was needed the most at that time. We felt happy feeding 60 volunteers working tirelessly at the Disaster relief centres. Thanks to Kohli's Indian Restaurant Nowra , Harpreet Kohli and Biju Vikraman for offering their time and selfless effort in working with local communities. Big thanks to Woolworths Ulladulla for providing the relief items at 100% discount to Astha - Sai Baba's Free Kitchen. Please be tuned for more....

20.01.2022 Sairam Team, In view of Australian Governments announcement regarding COVID-19 (Corona Virus) and growing concern of the spread of the virus in Sydney and carefully assessing all the available options, and eveyone's safety, ASTHA would be suspending services until further notice. We have to take this hard decision as a precautionary measure. We would resume our services ASAP once the situation comes under control. Thanks everyone for continued support

13.01.2022 *I only have less than $3 left in savings* Within a short time after posting the Facebook message, I received an email from an International student telling me that, I only have less than $3 left in savings. After making a decision with Astha directors we decided to help vulnerable International Students who are on the verge of homelessness. Within a couple of hours of posting the message on Facebook, we started getting emails of international students who are in need of he...lp. One student told me that he only has $3 left with not much food at home. Similar emails started flowing in, some requested job and some request basic groceries so they can put food on the table. My heart breaks listening to someone who says I cannot eat tonight as I have no money left. I visited and spoke to many international students today who are in immediate need of food. 02.01.2022 Today Government Announced: Public gatherings are limited to two people, reduced from the previous cap of 10 people. It will be up to states and territories to enforce that limit. There will be a six-month moratorium on evictions from commercial and residential rental properties where tenants cannot meet their payments due to "financial stress".... Public playgrounds, outside gyms, and skateparks will be closed from tomorrow. Group boot camps can no longer proceed, however, one-on-one personal training sessions are allowed. People should stay home unless they are shopping for essentials, for medical care or compassionate needs, exercising within the new restrictions, or for work and education if you cannot work or learn remotely. The "strong advice" of the national cabinet is that people aged 70 and older should stay home and self-isolate for their own protection. This also applies to people aged 60 and older with chronic illnesses and Indigenous people aged over 50. 1600 people arriving in Australia from overseas have gone into mandatory two-week quarantine in hotels today
