24.01.2022 One area I feel very strongly about is the need to upgrade our local roads to meet the current traffic volumes. We see council approving new residential developments but then failing to invest in the roads to service those new homes. We all deserve to drive on safe roads. It’s a basic responsibility for council and one that needs to be taken seriously.

13.01.2022 My first time as a candidate was a great experience. I have loved meeting the people I have and experiencing the rivalry between my opponents. It definitely gets nasty! I'm new to this game but I'm keen to come back stronger next time. I'll meet you all soon.

11.01.2022 Counting is complete. Les Walker will remain Councillor for Division 10. I've learnt so much in the short amount of time and met some fabulous people.

08.01.2022 My life so far has definitely been an adventure... In 2001; at just 20 years old, I was hit by a drunk driver on Flinders Street, paralysing my legs and restructuring my life... I spent 9 months in hospital recovering and returned to Townsville - my home! I represented our country in The Commonwealth Games in 2006 winning a Bronze medal... it was an amazing experience. ... I then completed my Bachelor of Education and have been teaching in schools throughout North Queensland - I adore my job! My home is where my heart is and Division 10 is my home - I want to represent you and be the voice for all who live here. Put your faith in me and I'll go over and above to make our home a beautiful place to be.

07.01.2022 Our current Councillor has had 4 terms to get this right. Don't give him any more time to waste your rates! You deserve better, we all deserve better!... I'll be here to fight for Division 10.
