22.01.2022 DYNAMIC, STATIC, MOBILE....we have them all! Anyone who cannot independently stand can benefit from the use of a stander but not all standing systems are the same. Essentially there are three types; dynamic, static, and mobile standers. Depending on the condition prone, supine, and sit-to-stand may be required, and there are also standing systems integrated into wheelchairs. This week we teamed up with Jon from Astris PME to continue our learning into sleep positioning supports. It was wonderful to share our knowledge and get hands on experience with some of the fabulous products available for promoting comfort, alignment and optimal body functioning!

06.01.2022 Hip hip hooray!! Pipers first wheelchair has arrived!! in sparkling raspberry pink, she's so supported when sitting and super comfy. The NDIS came through onc...e again with this fantastic wheelchair. This will enable Piper to be seated correctly and also allows her to be transported easily. Thankyou to Brad from Astris PME for assembling this and fitting her correctly. We also got her new shower/comode chair and can't wait to use this once we have sorted the bathroom. The next step, is to begin the process of planning Pipers own accessible bathroom See more
