22.01.2022 M45 / Pleiades / 7 Sisters 4 Panel mosaic. Took me a bit to finalise this image I've been on vacation and busy celebrating my birthday week Anyway here's my first complete mosaic! ... Not much time on each panel. I've not had much luck imaging lately. For some reason randomly, A.P.T will stop capturing with an error saying "still waiting on image from camera" I've reinstalled drivers etc but I think its my lead. 17.01.2022 Tested the waters on M78 last night, getting ready for the season. This is a 2 panel mosaic each panel an hour - an hour and a half. 10.01.2022 I've had quite enough of setting up for only an hour or two at a time Grand total of 1 hour 40 mins on The Tulip.. well I tried.

07.01.2022 W.I.P - M45 test run. So I started on my first ever mosaic!!.. The princesses of the sky Pleiades. My mounts battery pack died just as I was starting on the third panel . What you see here is two panels, each at 34mins using 90sec subs and no filters. Decided to use the two panels I had to practice stitching it together as I've been advised that aspect is the difficult part . I tried a few different ways but I found what appears to be the easiest is to process ...each panel separately ensuring that the exposure, levels, etc look even. Then loading as a stack in photoshop and merging it. Then I just tidied up the cross over lines. I then did some global adjustments like saturation, sharpness, noise reduction and a little extra stretching. I probably put in more effort then need with the editing haha considering its not finished!! I also believe my collimation was out, my fwhm was high and my stars were a bit oblong, I fixed them as best I could. #m45 #skywatcheraustralia #astrophotography #astro #astronomy #universe #stars #cosmos #nightsky #asi533 #longexposure

04.01.2022 The galactic core of our beautiful Milky Way . Spent the last couple of nights out near Harrisville camping. The details I could see with my own eye just blew me away.
