25.01.2022 Dear All - thank you for being a part of most challenging year for Astute Immigration Advisory. It has been tough for me to assist so many people to reunite families and facilitate skilled employment. The Government dropped an iron curtain, saving many lives while leaving many migrants stranded in uncertainty and me feeling helpless. I hope that next year will bring us all more clarity and compassion from the Government. I wish you lots of love, health and happiness. Ieva Vaityte

24.01.2022 Motherhood is like a roller coaster ride of emotions. You smile, laugh, giggle, you feel overjoyed, and in tears, you are worried, anxious and stressed all the time. The days are long, yet the years are so short. Thank you kids for teaching me how to be a mother and a woman. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there!

Temporary visa holders employed in the tourism and hospitality sector are now able to access this SC 408 stream for a period of 12 months. Temporary visa holders working in, or intending to work in, tourism and hospitality will be able to apply for the SC 408 COVID-19 Visa up to 90 days before their existing visa expires and then remain in Australia for up to 12 additional months.

18.01.2022 Only 3,000 humanitarian places will be allocated to Afghan nationals. Australia will give first priority to Afghan nationals within the offshore humanitarian program and afford them visa processing priority in the year ahead. The 3,000 humanitarian places will focus onfamily members of Australians, persecuted minorities such aswomen and girls, children, the Hazara and other vulnerable groups.... Although the chances of getting a visa approved are very slim it is still worth trying. Astute Immigration will prepare and lodge applications for vulnerable (women and kids) family members of Australians on complementary basis. Send us an email today. [email protected]

15.01.2022 Attention: Australian citizens, Permanent Residents, and Australian visa-holders in Afghanistan or their immediate family members living in Australia. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) coordinates operations in Afghanistan with the Australian military. The Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul is only expected to remain open until 31 August 2021. Australian citizens, permanent residents, Australian visa holders, family members of Australian citizens and permanent residents who live in Australia, and Afghan applicants with lodged but not decided visas should contact DFAT by emailing: - [email protected] - [email protected] The emails should include: - personal details - details of visas if held or lodged applications - copies of any ID documents - their relationship to Australia /Australian based relatives etc - where they are located - Kabul or other location in Afghanistan - contact number and email for Afghanistan AND Australia. 06.01.2022 Just like the colours of rangoli, hope this Diwali brings new smiles, undiscovered avenues, and different perspective and unbound happiness. Have a wonderful Diwali and a great New Year!

06.01.2022 After consideration of our response, the Minister decided to revoke visa cancellation for the applicant who made one detrimental mistake at a young age. We all deserve a second chance. #visacancellation #s501revocation #wealldeserveasecondchance

05.01.2022 A most common question in skilled migration be it employer-sponsored or skilled independent these days is "when will I get my visa". Under the policy, including Ministerial Directions 87 and 88, the Department prioritise specific applications ahead of others. On 2 September 2020, the Acting Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs, the Hon Alan Tudge MP, and the Minister for Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business, Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash, announced the introduction of a new priority skills list. As a result, the Department is putting all other applications in the pipeline on hold. The work of Migration Agent currently demands more damage control than actual strategic advice and assistance with the application process. Feel helpless and frustrated.

02.01.2022 Once we will be over 80% we will be able to travel. Let's help Australia to reopen it's borders. Let's get vaccinated

02.01.2022 The Australian Government is set to make it even harder for Australians to get exemptions to leave the country, while at the same time saying international borders are unlikely to open until at least the middle of next year.
