25.01.2022 Cheesy thyme bread puddings are made of stale bread and small quantities of leftover cheese. They're inspired by the wonderful cooking of Emiko Davies, food writer and photographer, living in Italy. She came up with wonderful of concoctions with stale bread during the COVID19 lockdown. 24.01.2022 Spiced bread ice cream reminds me of long pub lunches with friends in London when I was in my 20s. I remember sitting in a beer garden in the sun, savouring a bowl of the most delicious brown bread ice cream. While reading about all the destinations that will not be available for us to visit in the foreseeable future, I've found myself making dishes that remind me of countries I've visited. This recipe makes use of stale bread. I've included some mixed spice and nuts. Simply go to www.atamandastable.com.au for the recipe. Do you have a favourite dish that reminds you of far-away places?

07.01.2022 Moroccan tomato and lentil soup with ras el hanout has evolved from a somewhat bland cream of tomato soup Ive been making since the kids were small. Cream of tomato is the only soup one of my kids will eat. Over the years, Ive added more ingredients to make it more interesting. Now its on high rotation, especially on the nights when everyone eats at different times. My son still has his soup with cream. I prefer mine with creamy feta toasts. Simply go to www.atamandastable.com.au for the recipe. What dish is on high rotation in your house?
