21.01.2022 On Australia Day 2010, Steve Dorman and Tobias Kline launched The Hills Cider Company, with the goal of producing Australia’s best cider. With Steve being a friend to St Mark’s we are pleased to showcase a selection of their ciders at the Old Coll’s Wine Bar
19.01.2022 Coriole was started in 1967 by the Lloyd family when they and some friends bought the Chaffey road estate in McLaren Vale. The Lloyds became sole owners of Coriole in 1969 with Old Collegians’ Mark Lloyd (1968) and Duncan Lloyd (2005-2008) being the second and third generation of Lloyds at the helm. Coriole with traditional wines has tried and tested many new varieties over the years and we are pleased to have them as part of the Old Colls Wine bar.
07.01.2022 The Old Colls' Wine Bar is up and running and we are happy to welcome Woodsoak Wines, the creation of husband and wife team Will and Sonia Legoe. Will was at St Mark’s in 1990 and 1991 and started Woodsoak Wines on the Legoe family property in the Robe region. Woodsoak vineyards is 55 acres and includes plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot and Pinot Noir which have been the foundation of some award winning wines which we look forward to sampling.
04.01.2022 Just to add to the day we welcome Collegian Josh Phillips to perform at A Taste Of Mark's. Josh has been performing at venues around Adelaide as well as the Marksenfest so we look forward to him being a part of ATOM. Tickets are available at https://www.universe.com//a-taste-of-marks-2019-tickets-no
01.01.2022 Yes it is officially unofficial that A Taste of Mark's happens to coincide with Tasting Australia. We have what they don't have.. the Old Coll's Wine Bar. Adding to this prestigious event we welcome Hewitson. Hewitson was founded in 1998 as a result of Dean Hewitson’s driving passion to produce world-class wine from dry grown vineyards of South Australia’s very best regions. While Dean himself did not attend St Mark’s, though some may be forgiven for thinking that he did due his regular visits to catch up with mates as well as his sisters Clare (1982-1985) and Erica (1985-1988). Dean has supported recent College events so we look forward to tasting some more of his offerings at A Taste of Mark’s.
