I created patterns on the silver to imply contact paper or wallpaper which drawers in our house were (are) lined with. 03.01.2022 CORVETTE FORDITE SQUARE RING I love this piece of fordite, it's just beautiful. I have saw pierced a little warratah into the bezel, for an Aussie touch to a piece of Amercana. This fordite was collected from the corvette factory in Bowling Green, KY. These pieces come from a booth that was reserved for non grey paint colors, usually Z06 models and special cars.... Detroit motor agate, which is now more commonly know as Fordite, is automotive paint that has been built up in layers and baked on the skids and racks as the cars were transported through the paint shop.
