20.01.2022 The screens are better, but the sound isn't. Are your ears also letting you down? I have developed a number of solutions for clients to allow the simultaneous use of cordless headphones and surround sound systems. This means that those family members with hearing loss can enjoy a sound level that meets their hearing needs, whilst the rest of the family enjoy audio content through a surround sound system. The internal TV speakers aren''t good enough, and lack good bass.

18.01.2022 Not all amplifiers are equal. Yesterdays' client had a masthead amplifier installed when what was really required was a distribution amplifier. This caused them to have ongoing problems receiving some channels as the TV Antenna was overloading the masthead(very sensitive) amplifier. Problem cured with the more appropriate distribution amplifier installed.

18.01.2022 Visited clients today, having problems hearing dialogue on their TV. Sadly, no one told them that the dialogue is mostly delivered through the centre speaker and no one had sold them a centre speaker, or a proper full (minimum) 5.1 set of speakers. Buying individual speakers isn't normally cost effective.

17.01.2022 The usual complaint: I'm not getting all the channels, whats wrong? I visited a home yesterday with a better than average DIY install. However, after DIY we add the top grade components, professional tools, correct assembly faults and finally fine tune with laboratory grade instruments. Yesterday's client had old low standard cable, Replaced, splitters out in the weather, now under tiles, amplifier not working,Replaced, this one was hard to verify without instruments as it still passed some signal. Finally repaired interconnect cable on antenna itself. My clients new concern was the painting wouldn't get done as the Adelaide 500 was starting!

09.01.2022 Finally did it!! Installed some new speakers for myself in our lounge. The infamous Earthquake RBS-52s finally arrived. These are studio quality, book shelf bass reflex speakers. Fabulous sound. Subwoofer NOT required. Thats truly amazing from a 5.25" speaker system. Interestingly, only 20 pair made it to Aus, I've got 2 pair, so only 18 left if you fancy an upgrade. These are NOT available in stores. Specialist suppliers only. Message me to order.

08.01.2022 The Earthquake speakers are now installed along with a Yamaha home theatre amplifier. I decided to do this client a big favour. Being one of our Returned Servicemen, I decided not to pass on the special air freight bill. You should have seen the reaction when I powered up the system and put it through a full demonstration. The performance is nothing short of superlative. It doesn't matter how hard you push the amplifier or the speakers, you never hear any distortion. Now my client has asked me for outdoor wireless connected speakers using music cast technology. This will probably be a Yamaha solution.

05.01.2022 Just landed Earthquake reference speakers, these were specially flown in from USA for a home theatre installation. No stock in Australia :( I decided to do some in home testing. Wow these speakers are truly amazing. I will be sad to see them leave for their new home. Even come with cat approval! My client will be blown away. New stock for Australia by end April, shipping, weather and wharfies permitting. Definitely worth the air freight bill !
