20.01.2022 This Sunday we will join with many Christians around the world in the Season of Creation. We begin with Forest Sunday. In Acts 17:22-28, when Paul proclaims the one God creator of all and reminds us of our connection to God through creation, we can specifically think about the forests and trees that give us breath. This week, we invite you to pay attention to your everyday interactions with creation from the air you breathe to the trees outside your window, to the food you eat. You are invited to join us for worship onsite or online via Zoom.

19.01.2022 Join us for worship tomorrow morning - onsite or online - at 9.30am. We will welcome Leanne Davis as our guest preacher. She will focus on the gospel text (Matthew 22:34-46): to love God and love our neighbours as ourselves. https://athelstonechurch.org.au/worship-with-us/

13.01.2022 Covid19 is still affecting nearly every part of our lives and there is no clarity about when and how a new normal will evolve. In the midst of such times it ...is more important than ever we care for ourselves so that we can care for each other. Rev Wendy Prior, Supply Chaplaincy Manager and member of Wimala Pastoral Relations Committee, wrote today the following Franciscan Blessing reminds me often that I need to care for myself so that I can be a blessing to others. May it also encourage you to bless others. May God bless you with discomfort at easy answers, half truths, and superficial relationships, so that you may live deep within your heart. May God bless you with anger at injustice, oppression and exploitation of people, so that you may work for justice, freedom and peace. May God bless you with tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation, and war, so that you may reach out your hand to comfort them and turn their pain to joy. And may God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you can make a difference in this world, so that you can do what others claim cannot be done. Amen.

13.01.2022 This Sunday morning in worship we will hear how Moses experiences the profound effect of God’s presence (Exodus 33:12-23). We can all be comforted in the assurance that God is at the core of our being and we are known by the Holy Mystery that is at the heart of everything. As part of our service we will be acknowledging a special anniversary. It is 50 years since Brian and Winsome Ball were sent to serve on mission in Thailand. Join us onsite or online. 9.30am https://athelstonechurch.org.au/worship-at-home-2/
