02.01.2022 More great news for Atherstone residents. Yesterday's State Budget announcement saw a $75 million commitment to purchase the land and undertake detailed planning and early works on the new Melton Hospital. Situated in the future Cobblebank Metropolitan Activity Centre, on Atherstone's doorstep, the new hospital will see the creation of 3,825 long-term jobs and is scheduled to commence construction in 2022.
