19.01.2022 Here is another snippet from our ISO training guide. This routine is an excellent option for people who are competent working through barbell movements. It aims to build endurance and work capacity through minimal rest and maximal movement and is a perfect option for those in GPP training phases through lockdown at the moment.... The weight only needs to be light and movement quality should be the primary focus. start with 3 rounds and build to 5 for a simple endurance based complex. Inb4 someone says dont do cleans for reps. (these are muscle cleans, like all movements the context matters, they are a great option to add a pulling movement to the sequence whilst also linking exercises efficiently to promote the work capacity nature we are looking for) Any questions or comments please reach out ! Matthew founded Athlete Performance Education in July 2018 and has since managed and ran the program. Matts experience started off as an athlete having played Volleyball and Football at a Semi professional level. These experiences gave Matt the opportunity to understand thoroughly the challenges and experiences an athlete will face striving to achieve their sporting dreams. Since then Matt has gained a degree in Exercise and sport science as well as diploma in strength and conditioning. Matt has over 8 years of experience training elite and developing athletes across a range of sports and has a interest in both running based sports and surfing and has worked with organisations such as the AFL, Richmond FC and WAIS. Matt has a unique skill set around identifying key characteristics that are limiting athletes individual performance and formulating the structure and focus of training to address the athletes limiting factors. He has a strong focus on training the person first and the athlete second.
