Ingredients: 2 scoops choc pb protein powder 4 tbsp coconut oil 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter 1/2 cup oats, blended into a flour 1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup 1 1/2 tbsp cacao powder Dash of salt Instructions: 1. Melt the coconut oil in the microwave. Place all ingredients in a food processor/blender and mix until well combined and smooth. 2. Press into a lined tin and place in the freezer for 2 hours before cutting. 3. Keep stored in the freezer (they taste even better the next day!)

06.01.2022 The Cairns Airport IRONMAN Cairns Asia-Pacific Championship team would like to provide you an update on expected conditions for the swim leg of Sundays event. ...At 6.30am this morning, the water temperature at Palm Cove was 27.1 degrees Celsius, with the current weather forecast indicating the potential to increase slightly before Sunday. According to our rules and regulations the use of neoprene-suits/wetsuits is permitted up to and including a water temperature of 26 degrees Celsius, so in other circumstances this would ordinarily be a non-wetsuit swim. However, due to the small possibility of Irukandji Jelly Fish (Stingers) to be in the area, the wearing of a wetsuit or similar lycra suit will be preferred for all athletes. Please note that the stinger season is traditionally between November and May but there is always a small chance some may be in the area. Wearing a wetsuit in warmer conditions increases the risk of dehydration and heat stress so the IRONMAN Cairns team will be providing additional hydration opportunities at the start and additional cooling options at the finish of the swim leg. The team would like to encourage athletes to take their time when exiting the water and making their way through transition, ensuring that you cool down effectively and rehydrate before starting the bike leg.
