13.01.2022 Burra Girls Rugby Update Our very own Jamie Chapman has been selected to play for Australia tomorrow and Saturday at the World School Sevens tournament in Auckl...and. Jamie has come from humble beginnings as one of the first ever Burra girls to now representing Australia in Rugby. It is a wonderful achievement. Her fellow Burra team mates, coaches and the general Burraneer Rugby community should all be so very proud of what she has achieved Good Luck Jamie you’re a Superstar! We can watch Jamie's games tomorrow @ 8.20, 11.00 and 1.40 and is broadcast live on fox sports 505.

07.01.2022 JEDS | We are on the lookout for expressions of interest to participate in our 2020 Junior Elite Development Squad (JEDS) High Performance Program for U15 - U18 local junior rugby players. Interested participants can complete an online expression of interest (by following the link below). Applications close on Friday 25 October at 5pm. Program details:... The program is aimed at delivering a professional program for aspiring junior rugby union players that incorporates skill & tactical development, introduction to strength and conditioning and a whole of club Life Skills Program to assist off field personal development (topics will include a humility challenge volunteering for a charity, CV writing, Values Workshops etc). The JEDS Program will be led by Head Coach Todd Louden with the assistance of SDJRU U15 Head Coach Lachlan-Drew Morris and coordinated by General Manager Brett Gallagher. Dates for the program are as follows; Saturday 2nd November - Thursday 19 December 2019 Thursday 9 January - Thursday 12 March 2020 Thursday 5:30pm - 7:30pm - Field session/Strength & Conditioning Saturday 7:00am - 9:30am - Field session/Strength & Conditioning/Life Skills

04.01.2022 The Southern Districts J.E.D.S program kicked off this morning at Forshaw Park with 30 participants from 15-17 years of age. The boys were gathered from 7:00am ...and continued through to 9:15am. They were exposed to Elite level coaching as well as strength and conditioning and finished off with Lifeskills advice. It’s fair to say that we now have a rugby development system in the Southern Districts catchment area that can take young players from the age of 15 and get them ready for the Sydney Colts program and representative programs beyond that.
