22.01.2022 We are absolutely blown away by this incredible performance by Jane and her dance partner in one of their recent competitions. Jane is a talented wheelchair dancer, and just months after discovering her passion for dance in 2018, she competed in the National Wheelchair Ballroom Dancing Championships in Melbourne! It only takes a moment of courage to discover a new passion. For more information on wheelchair dancing and how to get involved, head over to Ballroom Fit or visit their website: www.ballroomfit.com.au/para-dance-for-wheelchair-users/

19.01.2022 Meet the Team Your name: Laura At Home Care position: Trainer... A little about yourself: I have come from a background in community service and training in customer service and the finance sector. I am extremely passionate about all things learning and development and instructional design. As a side hobby, I also do wedding/ event singing when I’m not singing in the shower. Last but not least, I am a proud mother of a little 2-year-old boy, who is my world. What’s in your lunchbox: Most of the time a healthy ‘meal prepped’ meal of some sort, but I would eat pasta most days if I could What are you watching: ‘This Is Us’ a beautiful US drama that makes me cry almost every episode! I’m also loving ‘WandaVision’ each Friday night at the moment with my fiancé. Where you can find me: Spending quality time with my little family. Best thing about working for At Home Care: Everyone working as ONE big team! Everything that every team member and department does is for our clients. I am grateful to work for such an incredible company that cares about their staff and puts their clients above all else.

16.01.2022 It’s not every day that we get to support people like Clint (pictured below) to make the life-changing transition from the Spinal Unit at Fiona Stanley Hospital into their very own home, but last Tuesday was one of them Our wonderful Mandurah team helped Clint move into an accessible home that was originally designed for Alf, a fellow ventilated quadriplegic. When Alf sadly passed away, he donated his home to Spinal Cord Injuries Australia so someone like Clint would have the opportunity to live life as independently as possible. We’re delighted to be able to help Clint do just that in his beautiful new home!

14.01.2022 We believe that everyone deserves to access the community freely, which is why we offer complimentary use of our own wheelchair accessible van for anyone living with a disability. It really made my weekend being able to attend my great niece’s first birthday. She was a picture of pink, said Sheryl, who used our van for a weekend of family fun. It’s so generous of At Home Care to provide this service and I can’t thank you enough. I almost felt normal, not having to miss out... or organise a taxi! To find out more and book our free wheelchair accessible vehicle today, head to our website: https://www.athomehealth.com.au/meet-a/wheelchair-van-hire/

What better way to celebrate than with some fun and games and a taco in hand?

07.01.2022 We are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Kate, a member of the At Home Care family. Kate lived life to the fullest, pursuing her love for sailing, swimming, spending time outdoors, shopping, listening to music and audiobooks. Kate was also a talented ballet dancer when she was younger and brought joy to those who saw her perform. Kate’s mother, Margaret kindly hosted an afternoon tea in celebration of her life and in appreciation of the support At Home Care provided to... Kate over the past year. Kate will be very missed.
