22.01.2022 Well we now have our land signed sealed and ready to go. Next will be fencing and power.

21.01.2022 The Journey of Atkins Hilltop Alpacas has begun. Our first 3 new Alpacas to date, we have 1 pregnant female and two young ones. Mum is Vivica, Padua is the daughter and the other young one is Blue Belle, both of the young ones are 4 months old. They are being agisted by Yaringa Alpacas, until our property is ready.

21.01.2022 Thanks to Leon & Kelly we have some rent a cows on our block to keep the grass down.

21.01.2022 In October Brett and I spent 2 day in the shearing shed helping out and learning the ropes. A big thank you to Susan and James at Yaringa Alpacas for letting us in the shearing shed.

20.01.2022 Day 1, fencing and pulling out trees for the fence to go in. Great job Duncan Atkins and Brett Atkins.

19.01.2022 Day 2, Post’s are in, Made the Driveway, boxes made for the strainer post’s and yes the gate all done today. Wire on Tomorrow.

17.01.2022 Roof iron on, corner cladding put on, doors put together and clad, rainwater tank put in position, road base put down, it’s getting there. Next week doors to be hung, tank fittings fitted and piped up to the shed, ridge capping to be fitted. Electrician to put lights and finish off electrical connection, then in two weeks we should have cement floor. Already for March long weekend.

14.01.2022 Well we are slowly getting there, still waiting for our plans for the buildings to be completed, but we have our alpaca transporter.

11.01.2022 Shed base is leveled, shed ordered and delivery soon, watch this space.

06.01.2022 We are back on the farm in Streaky Bay, running another fence and adding some gates, we had the rent a cows come for a closer look. Temp today was 32 and we did well to get what we had completed, thanks to my lovely Wife for taking the photos and helping out today.

05.01.2022 Day 3, wire for fencing went up today, and the gate is now finished. That’s to Kelly N Leon Williams for the loader and the help and guidance in installing the wire. Duncan Atkins thank you for your help over the weekend.

04.01.2022 Saturday’s work was interrupted by rain, and a cold southerly wind, we did what we could and then got rained out on Sunday with 23mm. So Xmas time we will need to finish off the job. We did a great job, and Zoe yes we are still married.

03.01.2022 The Journey continues, we now have building approval. The first shed has arrived, the pad has been levelled, footing holes dig ready for footings to go in. Changed the entry to the block. Bring on Xmas and shed build.

01.01.2022 Well it’s holiday season and we went to the block to start the build after council approval come through. Was a busy couple of weeks. The first shed to go up, had some drama though, the shed company had a mischief, we where 12 purlins short for the roof, so all we could do was the frame. Thankyou Duncan and Clinton for helping mum and dad with the build, thankyou Leon for the equipment to do the job without your help this would not have been completed. We also put in 50 posts... for the paddocks and installed the gates. Thankyou to Streaky Bay Landscaping for doing the footings, they were spot on. Look forward to your handy work in completing the build. See more

01.01.2022 We are still moving forward slowly, power to the Shed is going Smooth, trench dug, cable and conduit put in trench and back filled, meter box and distribution board installed. Thanks to Streaky Bay Landscaping, and Mark Dolling Electrical for your assistance with our Project so far. Not forgetting a big thankyou to Duncan Atkins and Karen Atkins for your help.

01.01.2022 Day 1, Duncan Atkins having fun
