05.01.2022 We think the WA Government's $20k "Building Bonus" grant is an even better step in the right direction for the industry. The WA grant will be available to both owner-occupiers AND investors. (But if it happens to be your first home, there's also the $10k First Home Owners Grant, which still exists separately and takes the total up to $55k plus there would be stamp duty savings as well !) 04.01.2022 Good news for the entire building industry with the latest stimulus package announced by the Federal Government. HomeBuilder grants will offer $25k towards building a new home or doing major renovations. There are of course terms and conditions and it applies to contracts signed before Dec 31, which is aimed at helping avoid a situation where grants get absorbed by longer-term increases in building costs. The scheme will help support about 1 million workers including builders, bricklayers, plumbers, electricians and other trades.
